ed 2 a quick question if you've got time m8, is there any substance to these jordie clasie and martin indi rumours flying around or are the journo's just talking nonsense as usual? thanks in advance :-)

{Ed002's Note - Feyenoord's Clasie remains a target for Fiorentina but whilst interest from Spurs seems to have waned, Sunderland, Swansea and Manchester United are showing interest.

Feyenoord's Bruno Martins Indi is subject to interest from Manchester United, Roma, Milan and Everton.

I will also say that Fiorentina's Stefan Savic is a target for Milan and Spurs. Do not rule out interest from Manchester United.}

I think the good news is that a lot of the players that LVG has identified will be attainable and we will not fall short in the chase for them - for example, it is obvious that Clasie would come here and not Sunderland. No CL will mean that the big boys choose the bigger clubs 8/10 times. So we need to pick and choose very carefully until we are in a strong position once more.

2.) 27 May 2014
In what world is it good news that we're targeting players that none of the other big clubs are interested in?

3.) 27 May 2014
Is savic the former man city defender?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

4.) 27 May 2014
Isn't Stefan Savić the lad who flopped at City? Just did a little read up on him and supposedly his form has been impressive in Serie A and he's grown up a little so could well be a solid buy for us.

Would prefer a slightly older, more accomplished head to go with our current crop of defenders but may prove useful for us like Garay but that ship may have sailed unfortunately

What's good about us targeting players that swAnsea and Sunderland are targeting? It says something that these are the type of clubs in for these players

{Ed002's Note - So you are some kind of transfer snob then?}

Thanks for the info ed2, first class as usual ;-)
