Morning all
Several places reporting the possible departure of Mata in January with Juve being strongly tipped as a loan with option to buy next summer. Any truth Eds? would think this if true could be a real bad move as he could prove more vital next season in CL?

Can't believe it if we sell him. Just play him as CAM and Di Maria as a winger/RM. Problem sorted.

I don't see any point in getting rid of Mata. Granted, this year will be hard to keep all our players playing regular football but if we get top four and back in CL next season we'll need these world class players. What better player is there to play behind the likes of RVP and Falcao.

RVP is not getting any younger and Rooney is not as influential as he used to be. Mata is 26 and the best number 10. Hence I don't think we will sell him. Also people are assuming that we will have all of Rooney, RVP, Falcao, DiMaria and Mata fit always. We will need players like Mata to go for League title and Champions League next season.

This is just paper talk as there is nothing else traffic wise going on. The next few months will tell if Mata will fit into LVG s first team so let's see what happens.

There are a lot of players that should go before him. But, if we are looking at bringing in a Ronaldo or Reus as well as keeping Januzaj happy then he may have to go.

Can not see him leaving in jam even if we sign Strootman, but come the summer this may happen. If we change to 4-3-3 where does mata really fit in. Falco/rvp as main striker di Maria to the right. Hoping for Reus on the left. Strootman as dm, herrera in front of him and another strong cm next to him, Vidal or pogba would be choice at present. If he was happy to stay and fight for a place in this system fantastic as he is a quality player and the more we have in the squad the better the squad will be.

The very idea of selling Mata is something we should not even be contemplating.

If this was to happen (which I highly doubt) then we should try to get either pogba or vidal in a deal to bolster the still weak midfield we have.

If we play with 2 strikers (falcao & RVP) then mata will struggle to fit in. But if we play with a lone striker assuming falcao that is, then we can have di maria on right rooney on left and mata behind falcao.

Kagawa's gone and now there's rumour's that Mata's surplus to requirements too? So who play's in the No.10 role?
