hi ed001 reports we have dropped interest in pedro is this true surely we can't let another good player slip through have we someone better lined up

{Ed001's Note - another case of the club valueing a player at more than you are willing to pay and someone else being happy to pay it.}

Ed001,

Fingers crossed you were correct about him the other day, your write up about him really put me off wanting us to sign him.

{Ed001's Note - I will be hoping the same, well maybe not when Chelsea face you lot, as we are far more likely to be chasing you for 4th than competing with Chelsea.}

Hopefully this Muller talk is more than paper rubbish, not getting my hopes up though.

Thats screwed up with the money at hand. Surely LVG opted against it in the end. Has to be only logical option or a better transfer option has come about!

Do the eds really have any clue what's happening on the transfer front, or is it just like media we will link with everyone and eventually get something right its getting very frustrating now

{Ed001's Note - you are just sticking to your valuations.}

Wow gutted if this is true, what is E war woo war playing at? Thought the buyout price was pretty reasonable.

{Ed001's Note - it is only reasonable if the management team as a whole feel that he is worth it. Clearly they didn't.}

Don't really understand Pedro at Chelsea. Don't think he will fit their style as much as he would to arsenals and man citys

Perhaps the start to the season Januzaj has had has made us reevaluate what we need. Wide poitions do look relative well stocked to me. Depay, Mata, Januzaj, Young. All of the above are also interchangeable in the No 10 position.

With the continued progress of Smalling all I see us potentially getting is a striker to challenge/usurp Rooney.

"United do not want to pay what Barcelona want because Van Gaal decided, despite contact with the player, that he was now not needed."

Looks like it doesn't Eric the Red .just deploying Ramos tactics I think and United appear to be the obvious choice for players to play off against their current employers.p.s If Memphis continues to play like last night then I guarantee Real Madrid will come sniffing within 2 seasons !!!.same old, same old.

Mixed feelings about Pedro news. On one hand disappointed because, if he had adapted quickly to PL and Van Gaal's prochesses, he could've been exactly what we needed: Mata would've had an extra option to put him through on the right and he's got a great scoring record.

However, just seen mbd's comment - another one trick winger who will soon get found out? Also thought-Provoking comments from Ed001 a while ago. Think we have to have faith in Van Gaal that deal veto'd for a good reason. Am going to guess at the following:

1. After impressing in the last two games, van Gaal's going to give more time to Januzaj, who is younger and has more potential.

2. He's also got Perreira to come in, plus Lingard - plus Herrera to fit in (maybe)

3. Once Pedro heard Chelsea interested, he didn't want to come to United.

4. Van Gaal concerned that he's losing his pace, his main asset.

5. Van Gaal would rather use the money (fee and wages) to buy someone else

6. He's already got Valencia on the right wing

So who knows what really happened.

Just really hope that we'll bring in an amazing striker instead.
