The thing that hurts the most watching us and the way we play is that if the shackles we're let go we could be blowing teams away in the first half of games.

Arsenals attacking players had the freedom to do what ever today yet every game this season our players have to stick to there job it's robotic.

We have players who can attack and create and score but all we seem to care about is stats and possession.

Maybe this is a wake up call needed because our next 3 games are very difficult and we could be looking at the most pivotal part of our season especially with cl games in between.

Martial tried to take people on and make something happen, but I expect that will stop when LVG has more to say to him. Look what has happened to Memphis - he was so direct in Holland, now he just comes inside like Young.

Memphis did not always cut inside at PSV, I have watched him enough times, so please stop babbling yourself.

One of the main reasons Memphis looks so predictable and nullified is because when Mata is on the right, other teams who are playing a midfield 3 or two holding midfielders can afford to double up on him so easily, treble up if their winger does his job. Unless we play quicker ball he's going to be running in to brick walls every time. This has been highlighted more since Shaw's injury, whom he seemed to have some understanding with.

I think if Herrera played part of a midfield three we'd see a lot more out of Memphis. Every time I've been to OT this season, you can see him making great runs, he's either not picked out or picked out late.

Young was able to make the left wing position his own at the end of last season because we played to his strengths. Fellaini always looked for the ball at the back post, he had a good understanding with Blind and we played more cohesively and quicker as a team.

Oh Nataniel

Mata gets double teamed too but he is intelligent enough to create space for himself and also retain possession by making a decent pass, Memphis on the other hand tries the same thing over and over again and loses possession and does not pass and when he does it is is a poor pass.

If you are the manager of an opposing team nullifying mata is a bigger priority than Memphis. A decent right back will show him the outside knowing he will not go there and his angles are all wrong when coming inside. He is a typical young winger with talent that has come form a lower league and used to beating lesser defenders but the PL is different story.

Mata will punish you if you give him time with that magic left foot.

You're clearly one of those people that loves Mata no matter what. Firstly opposing teams from what I've seen do not pay him that much attention. You're right he does create space for himself but usually by drifting in to central areas and making our play less expansive and a little more predictable. He's also recently been helped by Martial making runs in between the centre back and left back, he did this a lot against Wolfsburg dragging Ricardo Rodriguez away from Mata and giving him space.

I am not sure what games you watch, the games we have won is because Mata has been very very good and influential in those games, which is less than I can say for Depay. But people lie yourself have this love affair with this guys and want to make excuses for his poor play, every decent winger generally has 2 people he needs to deal with.

If he continue's doing the same thing over and over again that he is currently doing even the most blinded fans will have enough of it.

So so predictable i say and that is why he has a hard time at the moment, bellerin had him for breakfast all game and he is not world class but a good defender.

Mata against arsenal was marked very closely and was not allowed to dictate the game. Offensively he is the most influential player in the team period. Not Martial, not Depay and not rooney and not herrera who I like a lot.

that is why Mata leads the team in assists and might be our top scorer but not sure.
