Hi Ed,

I have seen a quote today that Odion Ighalo from Watford has said he wouldn't turn down a move to Manchester United if they came calling as he watched Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole growing up and I wondered if he could be a player we would consider going for? I've heard no rumours or anything but I think he could do a good job for us.

Thanks in advance and happy new year :)

{Ed001's Note - there has been no interest shown before these quotes, it is possible that may change now but I would think the club would want to look at him more closely first. Which would make it more likely to be a summer transfer, if it happened.}

how well do you rate him Ed.

{Ed001's Note - decent enough striker, not top class, but far from the worst available option.}

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate.}

I would take ighalo over will keane anytym (NOT SAYING WILL KEANE IS A BAD PLAYER THOUGH) but ighalo is scoring goals most of the time out of his own hard work and that is how it is going to be by us also if he comes at the moment lol. if i was louis i would go for him.

Wes,

Why are you benchmarking him against Will Keane?

Because at the moment will keane is our backup striker as martial is being used on the left side. soo for me ighalo could do a better job and might play way better then wayne upfront.

I have a lot of friends who support pne and they said will Keane was one of the worst players they have had this season, though they are happy too have Johnstone back on loan. Keane was great for our youth and reserves but he seems to be struggling with making it in a more competitive league. Injuries obviously stunted his development and I feel he won't smoke the cut here. I hope I'm wrong though.

Will Keane is already 22 and nowhere near good enough to be at a PL or even a championship club. He'll be gone soon if we are lucky enough to find a buyer.

So why recall him then?

Have you seen him play in the last 3 years angelred? Nowhere near good enough. Ashley Fletcher and Marcus Rashford are better than him, heck even Powell is better.

That's what I'm saying ozzy. I haven't been watching him at PNE. But if he has been that bad, why has he been recalled then?

Sorry angelred, I misunderstood your point. I truly have no idea why he was recalled.

Baffles me mate if he has been playing so poorly. It still remains to be seen whether or not he will get much gametime anyway. With adnan recalled and LVG previously stating he saw him as a forward, surely adnan would be ahead of Keane in the pecking order. But I am just speculating.

Seems an odd one to me too. I'm just speculating but perhaps we have the intention of loaning out someone else from the 21s that needs experience and we need keane to cover I really don't know.

Ashley Fletcher has gone on loan Ken so you might be on to something.
