Wullie Ballache just said on TV that there has been NO contact of any sort with Mourinho if his advisors. And also said that Jose and his representatives have made clear if there is no approach from United NOW, then he will start considering other clubs from now.

If this is true, then we need to make the move. City announced Pep will take over in July, if we're not planning to change until the summer then at least agree something in principle. Jose for me is the stand out candidate to get us back amongst the top clubs.

Seriously worrying times being a united fan with the idiots we have running this club.

Mourinho just trying to get a deal and stir interest from other clubs.

Why are you believing a well known Spanish expert. Is he the spanish expert who is closely associated with an Itailan team? And English team? Or a Portugese manager?

He has proven to know little to nothing in spanish football, why would he know anything about anything else. Lol.

Shappy, if you read my post you will see and I quote "if this is true". I don't know what he knows, just like you don't. I'm simply stating what sky are reporting. There's quite possibly some truth to it, so I thought I'd share, being a rumour site and all.

The Beeb have reported previously that United have met with Mourinho. Don't know which is correct between them and Sly, if either, but it seems everyone is trying to cover a base hoping they get it right, especially if you read the papers who seem to report a different view every few days.

{Ed025's Note - dont believe any of them CD, two weeks ago giggs was the celtic manager...and 2 of their pundits said liverpool would win the league.. :)

I missed anything about Giggs being the Celtic manager on those sites, but then again I mainly just read them for any major stories. And there's always at least 1 idiot working for these companies who believes Liverpool will win the league, was probably one of their former players who is now an 'expert'

Jose is a great manager and showman when things are going well. When things are failing, he blames everyone from the doctor to the ball boys to the press. His ego can never accept that HE might just be the one who is making mistakes. He is a big name but what makes you all think he will do a great job at United?

Tiny,

Because he has done a pretty good job everywhere he has been, his last season at Chelsea went totally wrong, but he is a proven winner, and that is what we need at our club. Who cares if he brings drama, there is drama at our club anyway, we are Manchester United, I would rather win and have drama than be losing every week and have a manager blaming ****ing Murphy's law.

Ballache has a terrible record at getting anything right. And sky just like to put out crap to push the bets up. If ballache said the sky was blue i'd look out the window to check.

My post was cut while typing but following on from it. He has been successful, no arguments, so what happened at Chelsea? League Champions one season then dropping like a brick the next. My point being that a great manager sees the problem and turns it around. he did not (hence my blame message) . It was not about finances, god knows he got plenty of that, he lost the way and could not turn it around. I think he is the type of manager needed at Man Utd but not the right person.
Its easy being a manager during the good times but the true test is when things are not going good.
Just my take on the guy.

Their no point in speculating on anyone else but Mourinho, he has got the job but it's more when than if

Personally I'm not the biggest Mourinho fan, he more of the "Dark Arts" than the "United Way", however it's pointless complaining about it, it's happening like it or not, I just hope the fans are ready for the fallout in 3 years time were we go back to square one.

I love the fact that any spainsh player/ manager first thoughts are "right get this contract signed, then tell ballbag all the info"

(1st time poster) I'm just fed up with this season, and want a new manager in now. The new manager who would then have excuses for results until the end of the new season, giving him time to put in place what he needs with regards to the training and/ or identifing areas of weakness all over the club.
Give him full control of everything.
I like the idea of Mark Hughes who has done a great job at stoke signing players to play in a way that United are supposed to play. Imagine what he could do with our budget.
Mourinho for me would do well for a few seasons but it seems wherever he goes he upsets players.
I don't think giggs is ready, maybe he needs to dip his toes into management elsewhere to develop his craft more.
Or stay with the next manager under his wing and keep learning.
With regards to Allegri, I think he would be a great signing but I don't think that will happen at all.
