I'd be happy enough with that. The slower pace of the league would suit Bastians game far more than the frantic nature of the EPL.

He was brought in I think mostly for his previous history with LvG and his ability to translate that onto the pitch. Or at least that was the theory. His injury and inability to fully adapt to he EPL has ment it hasn't worked out that way. I don't see how he fits into Jose's team/ game plan.
Plus Jose has brought in his own older head in with Zlatan, who knows Jose's style and ideas.

Bastian was a wonderful dream signing for many, but dreams never quite work out the same in the real world. Its a shame, he was one hell of a player. He was Bayerns version of Bryan Robson.

I agree Shappy, I feel Bastians move happened 3 years too late.
I personally won't be disappointed to see him move on.

Schweinsteiger only came to us to get into the national team for the euros you only have to see how he acted over the injury.

Dont know about behind the scenes but saw no leadership qualities from him on the pitch . All mouth and soundbites i'm afraid . he had a leg injury not an amputation and in the last 3-4 games of the season where his voice was needed geeing up the team, calming nerves . cl football on the line ( the hammers game for example) he wasnt there but seemed to be able to travel to get his fat face in all tv coverage of tennis games where his missus was playing, or walking hand in hand with her in some romantic city . vanity project and a big payday for himwas all it was and wasnt surprised when LVG went that there were reports of ill feeling towards bastian for his attitude amongst the squad.

Get him off the wage bill please.
