It's a case of when will his performances start to drop given his age?
A two year contract might not be ideal for the board. I think they have a policy for players over a certain age that they get one year deals.
Apart from that he has been great this season. 26 goals in all competitions. He should have been in the 30s if he'd have taken those chances earlier on in the season. But given his age, the goals he has scored it has been incredible. I was one of those people that doubted if he could do it in England. I'm glad he has proved me wrong.
His arrogance is Cantana esk. We've been lacking that for a few years, since Ronaldo left.
Ibra is a machine.

15 league goals in 24 games let's see what he ends up with but when do you start to plan for the future .

5th top goal scorer in the league at the moment so there are other options .

We'll need to start thinking about replacing Ibra now even if he stays, we'll need to start phasing him out as you can't build a team around a 36 year old (his age on Oct) . For me it will be one of Kane, Belotti, Silva and Lukaku. Jose likes his teaditional CF and they all fit the bill, he likes them to link the play and dominate the CB's. The stand out would be Kane due to age, size, experience and return but he's also probably the hardest to obtain.

Kane - 188cm, 24 goals in 35 games, 3.2 shots per game, strike rate of 4.6 shots per goal, 1.5 aerial duels won per game.

Silva- 182cm, 17 goals in 32 games, 3.2 shots per game, strike rate of 6 shots per goal, 1.6 aerial duels won per game.

Belotti- 181cm, 21 goals in 28 games, 3 shots per game, strike rate of 4 shots per goal, 2.3 aerial duels won per game.

Lukaku- 190cm, 25 goals in 39 games, 2.7 shots per game, strike rate of 4.2 shots per goal, 3.5 aerial duels won per game.

Zlatan- 195cm, 26 goals in 43 games, 4 shots per game,
Strike rate of 6.61 shots per game, 2.9 aerial duels won per game.

Just on the stats, Belotti would get you a goal every game if he had the same amount of chances per game as Zlatan, he's not EPL proven so there would be a slight risk but for me considering Kane will be almost impossible to get Belotti is the player.

Been very impressed with belotti, ex wide man who has pace and can beat a man so can and has played right across the front 3 .
Big strong lad who has done great as the lone striker, great work rate good with both feet and very good in the air .

Or rashford can replace him an drew we can't strengthen elsewhere like cb, lb and a holding midfielder.

Nice work REWZ,

I would add Dolberg, Morata and Cavani and you've covered all the decent target man/ physical forwards.

Im not sure rashford is a jose type number 9 .
Not really the type of 9 jose has used in the past.

I haven't seen enough of Belotti to be convinced, maybe only a couple of games. But its hard to argue with his stats.

Of players I have seen quite a bit of Cavani is the stand out, I also really like Morata. Kane would be ideal and is prem proven, but will be very very hard to get.

I'd love to see Rashford get more chances but he isn't Jose type striker. People need to remember that Mourinho played Eto'o on the wing with Milito as his main striker. Eto'o was clearly the better striker but Mourinho likes his striker to be able to battle physically with oppositon CB's. McCarthy, Drogba, Zlatan, Milito, Benzema, Costa and now Zlatan again.
