There are players in the PL who are probably attainable who would improve us massively and know the league. If we signed Bertrand, Van Dijk and Sanchez I'd be pretty happy. Add to that a midfielder suck as Fabinho and we would have a decent squad. Shame we're not interested in them options. Question for Ed if your around, has there been any kind of movement with regards to Fabinho? Contact with his club or representatives? Are we still interested? Or has nothing changed? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed, there are a number of sides interested in Fabinho and Manchester United remain one.}

I would take all 4 of them and be happy with our summer incomings.

I think if we got the 4 players Stand -united mentions above then it would be as good a transfer window as any for many years. With players leaving probably be around 120 mill net spend for those interested in such things and possibly a reduction on wage bill should Rooney. Ibra, young, Darmien, fellani, januzaj, wilson leave - or at least no significant change to wage bill.

Couldn't agree with you more Stand. Those 4 signings would be a great summer window for us.

Im all for a club of our stature to be after some of the biggest names in football but the likes of Varane, Marquinhos, Mbappe, Bale, Kroos etc rarely come off, although great when they do (Pogba) But the best individual players don't always make the best teams . We all have our own ideas who can leave but 4 solid players as mentioned above coming in and maybe add lindeof would make us very formidable domestically and in Europe with only Fabinho possibly difficult to get signed - I hope we choose players based on fitting in the team and not for marketing purposes - the alleged pursuit of Persic is maybe a good sign, not a worldie but could step up a level.

As good as Sanchez is, he hasn't shown himself to be completely a team player. I've watched and wanted Sanchez when he was at Udinese and he should've been our replacement for CR7, but his attitudes while at Arsenal has been atrocious. We already have Martial that sulks for us and you've seen how Mourinho has handled him. Do people think Sanchez would be a good fit for us under Mourinho?

Cr92. I agree. The difference is that Sanchez does the business on the pitch, Martial doesn't.

Laughing when your team concedes a goal is the lowest of the low. I'd still take him though because he's a short term fix to a big problem, which is a lack of exciting footballers in the team.

Sanchez is a hard worker never gives up that's where his frustration comes from with his teammates, bit like Ronaldo and no its not good to see, but he delivers more often than not.

Martial doesn't seem to have a great work ethic and at his young age that's a worry.

Is there a possibility we won't get the big signings we are all hoping for because of Mourinho, He does tend to slate players very openly . Which at times this season they have deserved a putting down, but the money and fame these so called big players expect, some can't handle the criticism. I hope I'm wrong and we are pleasantly surprised at the start of season with new faces at the club.
But it's my opinion and it's only an opinion, If sir Alex was still in charge, I feel the draw of playing for Fergie would make it a little easier when trying to purchase players. I know Fergie had his run ins with certain players, But he never mentioned why and when he was being interviewed.
July the 1st can't come quick enough.

{Ed025's Note - united will make some major signings rock, big players want the pull of united managers are temporary..

Rock,

We have signed more 'star names' from abroad since Fergie left than we ever did when he was here. Remember when we used to make stars rather than buy stars?

LOL,

Bertrand -> Manchester City
Alexis Sanchez -> Bayern Munich
Virgil van Dijk -> Liverpool
Fabinho -> Not really a midfielder, but actually a RB and most
likely joining Juventus!

So better luck next time wishing for realistic targets! LOL.

there are still 31 days between now and when the squad meet up on 8th July.

I know it is frustrating not knowing exactly what is going on and watching city sign a player (1) but be patient.

How many major clubs in europe have announced signings?

I am sure that most if not all of our transfers will be sorted before we fly to America.

Shiisha, we haven't shown interest in Bertrand, or Sanchez, or Van Dijk. The post was just saying there are players who are attainable as being shown, that could improve our positions. And Fabhino is better in midfield than at RB.
