Hello Ed
Lot of rumors about Manchester United being interested in signing Vidal this summer. Is there any substance to the rumors or are they just making up stories? I don't remember Ed002 mentioning Vidal that in his most recent summary.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what the stories are, but Mr Mourinho was very keen on Vidal when he was coach at Chelsea. I am aware of intererst in him from elsewhere but he is coming up to 31 and the smart money would be for Manchester United to sign someone younger. I am not aware of any approach by MU.}

If we sign Vidal Mourinho is not planning on sticking around too much longer I would suggest. Hopefully, as ED suggested, we sign someone younger.

Vidal would be a great signing and would provide some experience and leadership that younger players wouldn't. If we were to sign him a long with say jorginho I'd be ecstatic. Also if he gave us 2/ 3 good years it would allow us to bring youth such as Gomes, hamilton and puigmal into the squad with the knowledge that there is a spot for them when he leaves.

Vidal should be good for us but he should not be the only CM we sign this season.

We signed a slightly past it 31 year old midfielder from Bayern once before. Whatever happened to once bitten twice shy?
