Big worry if Dave the Save is now reluctant to sign a new contract as is widely reported - can only think PSG would be viable destination today.

Real Madrid could still be a serious option. Navas isn't getting any younger and Coutois hasn't been great since the move. They could easily go back in for DDG either on a free or below his true worth when he only has a year left on his contact.

Why would DDG sign a new contract?
We don't know where we are going.

He will be a huge loss if he leaves. But the way things are, I don't see any top player staying if given a chance to leave!

Don’t see where DDG goes, Real are ok, Barcelona too, maybe Bayern or PSG but less competitive leagues, anywhere else even if we aren’t on top atm is a backward step.

If he left who could blame him?
Probably the best keeper in world football for about 6 seasons now and what’s he got to show for it
If he’d got his move to Real Madrid he’d have a couple of CL winners medals in his back pocket . The way things look for us it’s hard to see us seriously challenging for league or CL for a couple of seasons at the very least.

Juventus have Szczesny in goal. I appreciate he misses Spain, but that screams out at me.

Ultimately he has been a great player for us, not one of our fans should have any hard feelings if he leaves. He signed for a great club, he now plays for a club I barely recognise.

Wouldn't mind a little swapsy with Athletico for Oblak.

As I understand it the contract is almost done, but he wants a clause that states he won't ever be used as a center back.
