Defence sorted but midfield still woeful, a pogba injury and we are in a pickle fernandes is essential.

Maguire deal confirmed by other journos. Transfer fee is steep. hopefully he ll be able to handle the pressure.
I can see the knives out as soon as he makes the first mistake.

jaimej79 does every positive have to be followed by a negative? Dear me one target in and all you.

Jesus Jaime, it must be exhausting living so relentlessly under grey skies.

Well done for quickly finding a negative Jaime.

At least we have bought a defender. even if it is Harry McGuire.

Jaime, I think you're going to be disappointed mate. Woodward has shifted his attention away from Bruno because Dybala is flashing a big of thigh.

Obviously United were just waiting on the results of Maguire's 17th medical of the summer before confirming it.

Jaime,

McTominay has been brilliant in pre season so woeful is a bit harsh, hopefully Fred will improve but I do think we are in need of another 1 or 2 in there to improve us.

I hope United haven't wasted too much time on the Lukaku/ Dybala swap deal. Our priority should always have been Maguire and Fernandes. Maguire looks likely though. In the event of missing out on Fernandes, we need Fred to step up big-time with assists and goals alongside Pogba. It is shocking how less we mention Sanchez now. Maybe he can reinvent himself as a 10. Can't wait for the football to start.

Jaime is only a teenager lads. Go easy.

In terms of attacking flare we have Chong and Greenwood not to mention Gomes.

Fernandes would be great don't get me wrong but as it stands we have had a good transfer window.

We probably paid 20 million to much for both AWB and McGuire.
But its players we needed.
Hopefully Bruno is next, don't want to be wasting precious days chasing Dybala. If dybala did come than great.
But I feel bruno will give us whole new attacking dimension
We should be spending the next few days shipping out the deadwood
. young smalling, jones, fred, lukaku.

Who cares what we’ve paid. Will both players improve our defence massively? Yes. Are they going to walk into our starting. 11? Yes. Is Dybala and improvement on lukaku to play right side forward? 10000000% yes.

Our team is taking shape - the jigsaw was never going to be completed in one window but it’s a bloody good start to suit how OGS wants us to play. I am delighted.

Well said Eric, why people talk about the money like its theirs is beyond me. Have season tickets gone up? No! Yes, we'll pay more because other clubs know we need these players but it's more important at this stage to get the correct players signed. I worry about the guys conducting deals, much like other posters, but our jobs as fans is to sing every match day. Cliche I know but we need to get behind the boys, not the numptys upstairs.

It's my money Rich_1982.When I'm buying man utd kits every year. Buying season tickets for last 30 years. buying man utd beer and man utd crisps. All of which I hasten to add goes into buying players. so when I say we paid 20 million to much for AWB and Maguire. I have a right to say so.

Rock

I think I remember reading a post of ED002 whereby it was stated gate money doesn't produce that much income for the club, your season ticket hasn't increased in price has it, more than inflation.

Ultimately as I have said elsewhere, you have a choice, you can continue to attend, buy the kits, crisps and whatever or you cannot and save yourself how ever much it is you spend, which probably wouldn't pay for a minute of a player's time.

I think you are forgetting how much it costs to pay those that work for the club that aren't involved in the footballing side of things.

Whinge as much you like, but you choose to go. you could easily choose not to.

Rock, sounds like you buy all the kits, crisps and beer so you can say "it's my money, I can say if we pay too much". Unfortunately, both your ticket and my ticket isn't signing the players. Not an argument buddy, just the way it is. Enjoy the new season.

Nonsense Rock - are you 12 or something? . I bought an iPhone, doesn’t mean their profits are my money or have a right to say how the company is run. The same applies to football.

I go to the theatre and watch a play, doesn’t mean I now have a right to tell them how to direct the play have a stake in the production.

Such naivety. None of it is our money, as soon as you hand it over the club it is theirs to do as they wish. If you disagree, don’t give it to them!
