Hi Ed I hope you are enjoying a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend. A quick question if u don't mind?! Who are the most likely players to leave the club before Thursdays deadline? Things seem to have gone quiet on the likes of AWB etc. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I can answer questions about interst but cannot answer "most likely" questions.}

I'll rephrase then, is there any interest in players who we might let go before Thursday?

{Ed002's Note - Whilst clubs like Chelsea have a bunch of outgoings being worked on James Garner may look to move on and there is interest. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will leave at the right proce. Maybe Diallo and Tabitha Chong on loan, probably not Facundo Pellistri. Outside chance of Scott McTominay and Victor Lindelof. Jones, Tuanzebe and Mengi will I think stay stay.}

Do you think Ronaldo will stay Ed?

{Ed002's Note - The difficulty is finding another side. Wages are huge - certainly given his age.}

Thanks as always Ed. Would like to see awb leave and someone else come in. Dalot has done well but I don't trust him for a full season and we need a solid alternative in that position. Clearly eth doesn't factor awb in his plans so a move would suit everyone.

Thanks Ed. I think he’ll stay for that every reason.

Ronaldo is richer than God, if playing CL football this season is so important, why wouldn't he adjust his salary demands to something that a Napoli can afford.

Liverpool is almost definite to top that CL group A after 6 games. It is between Ajax and Napoli for the 2nd place. By November 2 (Liverpool vs Napoli) matchday 6 he may well be out of CL. Which is just over 60 days from now.

Being rich never stops people from wanting more. In most cases they are even more greedy:)

I agree NC, part of what drives him to be the best, probably also drives him to be the best paid as well.

What I don't understand though are his CL team options are limited, none of them have a realistic chance of winning the tournament. Unless he truly believes that he can take an average CL team and be the difference at 37, now that is self belief.

HI ED002

Read in your reply above that the club open to letting Mctominay go if a suitable offer came in, is that right?

Does it have anything to do with triggering a replacement they might be looking at.

{Ed002's Note - Try not to complicate things.}

I think the cl thing is a bit off red herring. He is not interested to go through a season of major rebuild with a new manager who does not see him as the focal point of the team.

How eth wants to play and what he is asking from the players is not what ronaldo does. He has not chased back or pressed most of his career even when he was younger. Its just bad soup.

I will have to take your word for that Nothing Changes. Having had as much experienc of being rich than I have a running a football club, I can only guess T how rich people think.

My wealth experience is limited to Monopoly and Football Ownership to Football Manager.

lol Bud just a view and I am not a football manager or expert by any means. I think Ronaldo thing is the biggest mess eth has inherited.

He seems to know exactly what he wants and where he is taking us. Whilst we can all argue about a right back or this and that, Ronaldo is a massive burden distraction and hardest to solve imo.

I think we are stuck with him, maybe chelsea as only option imo and that's my business hat and fits the bill.
