Lots of stories about big name players wanting to leave their clubs. Personally I don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Any club will transfer a player if they no longer fit into their plans, regardless of whether the player wants to leave or not.

The minute a player wants to leave then that's considered not acceptable.

Can't have it both ways

I'm going to start by saying I don't want to come on here and just be negative. So instead I'm going to talk about possible signings and try to get excited about this before the new season starts. I think like maybe some people I was not excited this Transfer window about being linked with Modric and Fellaini, I wanted the Fabregas and Ronaldo's of this world but if you had offered me last summer Modric and Fellaini I would have snapped your hand off especially with Van Persie coming as well.
Modric IMO is a class act, he can pick a great pass, inject some pace, find space in a tight spot. I really think he would do a great job and he is already proven in the Premier League (in a very good spurs side)along side someone like Fellaini who is not everyone's 1st choice but I do think he would do a good job and add steal, add height and cause other teams some problems especially on corners and freekicks. Last season I thought we did well on corners and freekicks and this guy could help even more. If Fellaini was there to break up the play and this gave Carrick and Modric more freedom to play the kind of football us United fans like, this would be great.
I really hope something comes off this next week with these possible signings and I for one will be very happy if they do. Champions20 :)

Carrick was the best cm in the pl last year by a country mile.

Carrick was voted United Player's Player of the year and was included in the Team of the Year.
There is no doubt he was a big part of us winning the league of course he can play football.
