Evening fellow devils

Interesting discussion at work today, what do you guys reckon.

If you could bring back any former united player, playing like they did in their hay-day, who would it be and why?

Hard to choose just one, avoiding the obvious Ronaldo choice we could do with van nistelrooy banging them in

Paul Scholes, can play anywhere in midfield and forward.

5.) 10 Jun 2015

We've had far too many class players and currently have too many gaps in quality for me to choose just one! I could pick a shed load tho.

If George Best had approached the game like Ronaldo he would have undoubtedly been the best player ever to have come from the British Isles. Unfortunately he was a man of his time, the first 60s superstar, and he succumbed to the temptations. It cut his career - and life - short, but even then he lived up to his name. He was the best - on his day, arguably he best in the world.

Scholes.

Duncan Edwards. Never saw him play but if Bobby Charlton rates him as potentially greater than all we had then it will do for me

Keane by a country mile. We need leadership and an example being set more than any team in the PL.

Without a doubt Roy Keane.

Scholes but can we have Keane too.
Midfield sorted. :-)

21.) 11 Jun 2015

Rio Ferdinand or Jaap Stam

I agree with Hereford red!! Duncan Edwards for me. Apparently he could play in any position and still be the best on the pitch!! Other than that in my era it would have to be Robson or Keane!

cant believe no one said B Robson

Scholes for me. Never saw Duncan Edwards play so hard to go that far back. Scholes would cost over 100 million in this market.

Imagine LVG and Keane in the dressing room? Would be like watching now WWF

Having been fortunate to see a bit of Best and all of Ronaldo's time with us , I would still say Duncan Edwards. Perhaps because it would be the only way for any of us to know just how good he might have been.
