Does anyone think that Sky Sports shouldn't have a betting website? every day they start transfer rumours without proving the source and direct people straight to SkyBet!
I don't believe 90% of their stories, especially the United to pay £100mil for Pogba one.
Sky have linked us to about 25 signings this summer already, we were buying Ramsey, Kante and Morata the other day.

{Ed001's Note - I have been saying that for years. It is clear they are stirring up nonsense to make money off the betting market.}

Don't get me started, I think I feel as strongly as Ed001 on this, so many people think sky sports are the be all and end all. I have heard a few people say 'I don't believe it unless sky say it', it is absolute nonsense. You wouldn't believe everything you saw on Betfred Sports News so why would you on Sky Sports News.

There was a journalist earlier (Kristof Terreur) who tweeted that Newcastle were signing Mats Sels, he then said 'Sure sky sources will run with this in a few hours'. 3 hours later and they announced sky sources were reporting it. If your sources are 'reading Twitter' then you are not a credible news source.

{Ed007's Note - I've been saying this on here for for years, since the Sneijder debacle of summer 2011 which was my first transfer window on here and I still thought Sly were the be all and end all of sport. I'm actually at the point now I couldn't even tell you the last time I put SSN on.
People should ask themselves why do the majority of their 'news' items contain betting odds? They shut the book on the next Celtic manager 3 times in a couple of weeks and not one of them was Brendan Rodgers - so the posters on the Celtic site made a killing on it.
You don't put on Channel 4 and Jon Snow's rattling off odds about where the next bombing's going to be or whether the £ will reach an all time high or low.
Cut Sly out of your life altogether and you AND your pocket will be a lot better off for it.}

They are a visual version of the news of the world. They work on the news of the world theory when generating news stories of make it quick make it short make it up.
They are the tramps and prostitutes of the media world imo.

Isn't that because he's too busy fighting Ramsay Bolton Ed007?!

{Ed007's Note - You've lost me mate!}

Apologies. You mentioned Jon Snow (the C4 news guy) and I made a quip about Game of Thrones. I'll take it you fall into the 10% of people that don't watch it.

Bond doesn't watch it he lives it. He's north of the wall in a cold desolate wasteland battling strange supernatural foes.

{Ed007's Note - Sorry, Simon I don't watch it. There's far too much sex in it and watching things like that gives the Mrs some funny ideas.
It's not quite as barbaric where I live, Mort - we've only had the 2 shootings this week in my street.}

And he lives in the posh part of Glasgow :)

{Ed007's Note - I think they must be doing a BOGOF offer.}
