If that's the case I'm sure Jose would already be aware and be working on a back up, do any ed's know who realistically this back up would be? Jose seems pretty sure he's going to land a world class midfielder from what iv read, would Verratti be a complete no go after signing a new contract? (Not that I think we stood much chance before he signed lol)

i think we will announce the Pogba deal just before or just after the community shield just to add huge global marketing exposure i would be very very surprised if he does not sign tomorrow if its not then it probably won't happen i am 90% shore tomorrow is the day of Pogboom time lol.

Pogba WILL sign. Someone who is a close personal friend of one of the directors told my wife yesterday that it is going to happen. Last time I was given information by this person, prior to an official announcement being released, Luke Shaw signed for us. I have absolutely no reason to disbelieve my informant. We will probably have to wait until Monday as the announcement will have to be made when the New York stock exchange is open.

I think you're spot on Ed007. It's been such a protracted transfer saga that, despite Pogba being on holiday, should have been wrapped up after the European Championship. My thoughts are that if it was going to complete it would have done so by now.

Someone mentioned James. If I was a betting man I'd be tempted to put some money on that one.
