In the real madrid page ed002 has mentioned there were two imp issues that was blocking the pogba move and that's why real madrid were not able to do business but we sucked it up and paid what was asked. Can anyone give a guess what those issues might be?

I guess one would be not being able to sell some players for the prices they wanted.

Maybe Pogba wanted a bigger share of the image rights than Madrid were prepared to pay him.
Ed002 said last year that Barcelona was Pogba's favoured destination but Barcelona needed to clear space on their wage bill before taking on Pogba and with Messi staying put the transfer was never going to happen.
It's odd that a team like Madrid who have never been short of money seem to struggle to raise funds to buy whover they want, you got to wonder if there are some real financial issues at the club.

{Ed001's Note - they no longer have govt assistance....}

imightbesomeone why would they discuss that with juventus, i think it would something related to payments etc. who knows or cares, we got the player we wanted, woodward would not have sanction it if we thought it was excessive.

Another is having to stump up that huge amount we paid as sign on fee, agent fee, as well as weekly wages.

As ed1 said now they no longer have govt assistance to make up the shortfall they're struggling. Its not like they can sell a crumbling training ground for times its worth and move into a state of the art complex for free like they did last time.

Imagine the outcry if we'd have sold the Cliff to the GMC for times its value and the council built an paid for Carrington leaving us with money to buy 3-4 worldies.
