On the Bale issue -

Has something changed from his days when he openly spoke about NEVER wanting to play for UTD?

If he is forced out, there are other teams that can afford him in the Prem so why are we assuming its us that he will choose?

I know what Jose has said but its ultimately Bale who decides and i have seen nothing from hi that has ever pointed our way.

I can't find where he said he'd NEVER play for United.

I've found articles where he said 'He's Happy' etc etc but none that state that he'd never play for United.

You're usually good for an auld quote jred, I'm sure you could find it lol.

I would be extremely surprised if any player was stupid enoggh to say he would never play for a certain team let alone one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Mourinho being the manager makes a big difference, he was always first choice and played well in his system. He did say he wouldn't join a spurs rival when he left so hopefully links Chelsea and Arsenal out. Man City have 15 players in that position so it's more of a hope we are first choice. He knows how much the club want him too.

I've done some Googling for at least 2 minutes and can't find a quote of him saying that anywhere.

I know he said some bad stuff about Liverpool, but I too have never seen the actual quotes of him saying he'd never play for Manchester United. Seems strange as many stars use us to get a bigger contract so saying such a thing wouldn't be advised by his agent.

But I'll have a look for some actual quotes. See what pops up.

Literally nothing on the internet. If he said it then it's not come directly from him. And then how can it be certain it's not just made up gossip? I don't know, but like Jred said, people change, circumstances change and if he's an unwanted man at RM, why stay? I think we may actually go out of our way to make this transfer happen, however much hinges on what Bale wants to do. Keep on surviving at RM or a fresh start in the EPL and a potential MU star?

I posted it yesterday can remember it from a while back .
It might of even been when he turned us down to leave to sign for spurs but it was 're run a few times.
Evenzedan can can obviously remember it even if others can't.
Or maybe we are both lying for some reason?
