Years ago, if you won at home and drew away you would win the League; that's an average of 2 points per game. Nowadays that's not enough and if you want to get to circa 90 points then you need abut 2.3 points per game. However, if you use 2 points per game as an absolute minimum and look at the first 5 games you can see Chelsea have got 10 points but City and United are storming ahead with 13 points, Champion's form and then some.

The interesting stats are those of our other rivals. Spurs and Liverpool have only 8 points and Arsenal have 7 which is well below what they would expect if they want to challenge. I realise it is only five games but that is 13% of the season. The conclusion is that whilst City and United have started like trains, Chelsea have been steady whilst the other 3 have been very slow out of the blocks. Long may this pattern continue.

Look who we've had played before we get too carried away. We haven't played any of the big boys yet: Liverpool for example have already played city and Arsenal. Arsenal have played Liverpool and Chelsea. Far to early to even worry about points.

Really does my head in when everyone goes 'united haven't been tested yet' 'is Jose the right man', 'united aren't all that', yet the media say City are unstoppable, Pep is amazing, we are second on alphabetical order, they've stumbled past Bournemouth and Brighton, can't tell me Liverpool was a test against 10'men for an hour and they couldn't beat a team we dismantled at home in Everton. We have won 4-0 three times and got a decent point at Stoke, seems to me it's City who've not been tested yet. Par for the course tho being a United supporter, everyone loves and wants to see us fail. Your right Tony long may the results continue.
