I wonder will they appeal the red card according to a couple of refs on sly today there is merit in appealing.
1 he was not out of control
2 he nicked the ball and landed on bellerin
3 bellerin was in a totally unorthodox position
So it much be just downgraded to yellow but it's a long shot.

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't appealed. I said at the time he got the ball first and once stretched you cannot pull out of challenge, naturally you'll follow through, just so happened for whatever reason Bellerin was laying there. That being said I'd be shocked if it's overturned. They generally like to back the ref. It wasn't deliberate, but it was avoidable. That being said he had every right to go for the ball which he actually got.

We'll appeal and it will be rejected I think.

{Ed004's Note - I agree. Nothing to lose appealing it but it was a red card no matter how unfortunate it was}

I would be surprised if they appeal it red card all day long for me.

Agree we should appeal but when was the last time the FA did United any favours?

{Ed004's Note - Not banning Lukaku}

I would appeal it because if he does get an extra game ban for a frivelous appeal, he would only miss the league cup game against bristol city as well as the 3 league games he'd already miss.

{Ed002's Note - It would be a dumb thing to do. Clubs need to act responsibly regardless of their stupid fans.}

it needs to be a unanimous decision by the panel and no way would that appeal get a unanimous vote. i would even wish to appeal the man of the match award. how did DDG not get it?

It was a clear red card, he could have broken his leg. Why appeal it?

That's true Ed, but that was marginal.

It surely won't be overturned but I do think there's a case that Bellerin's leg was in a completely unnatural position and, in the split second that a player has to decide to go for the ball or pull out, that unexpected element may have deceived Pogba. In any event, had Bellerin been in a normal position, there is no way that challenge would have been worthy of a red.

A straight red In that context ajh is for serious foul or dangerous play. There was boo intent no aggression in the tackle it was unfortunate. I thought red at the time but after listening to the comments today he may have a case super slow mo makes it look like he left his foot in but in real time he removed it as soon as possible. It was totally accidental imo. But that said I don't think it will be over turned.

No point appealing, take the 3 and move on, be more likely to get an extra game for his childish applauding on the way off.

I think it was a clear red and you got away with the lukaku incident by we got away with mignolet, I just want consistency that’s the joke with the FA no consistency it gives fans a chance to feel aggrieved if one gets away with it and another doesn’t.
