Given we are split on Jose and his style of football etc, there is a certain French legend available at the end of the season to manage, and I don't mean Eric Cantona.

Ladies and gents, I give you Arsene Wenger. I for one love him and watching his teams play. Brave move from Woody to do it. Would be a fun ride.

If a different French legend in the form of Zidane were to become available, I'd say why not. Wenger is a little too old, and would only be a short term solution.

Age is but a number. He’d get he beat out of Pogba, Martial, Rashford and we have seen sanchez under his guidance. Bring in a decent defensive coach and all good.

I would rather go the Portuguese manager who is managing AS Monaco. Only job that wenger can succeed in right now is the France NT, he will win them trophies given the talent the have unlike the idiot they now employ who will lose them trophies.

Me too Park. Would be interesting to see how he settled in to the British culture but I think he would understand United's footballing culture and heritage. He had a bit of a falling out at Olympiakos, not sure what about or why. Anyone have any info on that?

Jardim appears to be a very good fit with us. Attacking brand of football with promotion of youth. Still young so can imprint his own personality on the club, whilst also respecting the traditions. Would very much like to see it. But I have a feeling he may be off to Chelsea which will be very disappointing. Add allegri potentially to arsenal and that is two rivals who will be stronger next year.

Not sure Yellow it was strange as he was ten points clear at the top of the Greek league at the time of his sacking. Apparently the owner thought the football was too defensive. Who knows but he has done a cracking job at Monaco and winning the league last season with PSG there was very impressive.

If we’re going French I’d have Pepe le Pew, in fact I’d have pretty much anyone French or another nsti Mality if it meant Grumpy Gills leaves.

There are plenty of great coaches out there, Nagelsmann, Jardim, Allegri, Fonseca etc. Personally I'd love to see us go for Maurizio Sarri if we did go for another manager. It'll never happen as he doesn't really like the transfer market so wouldn't fit in with our newish policy of spending big money and would be seen as a risk but his Napoli side play very attacking and exciting football. I think he has also been learning English.

He has made his players better, Hamsik was the star in Napoli but he is a better player now than he ever has been. However, look at Mertens, Insigne, Jorginho, Koulibaly, Ghoulam, Hysaj etc. They are now pretty much household names in Serie A and would get in most sides in Europe. He's also had that side run Juve close in the league.

Regardless we won't be looking for a manager in the summer anyway. We will have Jose until we either win leagues again or the arguments start, whichever is first. In my opinion, it's pretty unlikely we see us lifting the Premier League before the predictable implosion begins.

{Ed001's Note - you might want to do some research on Sarri mate. He has been accused of making comments that are sexist, homophobic and racist on the sidelines. He is a man who speaks without thinking. You can't do that at a huge corporation like Man Utd when you are the face of the company like he is.}

Blanc with Carrick as the number 2. Both know the club. Blancs record as manager is not to be sniffed at. Was very good at bordeaux. Played very good football at psg.

Wow, didn't know that about Sarri ed001. Absolutely agree, can't have that from a manager at any level never mind someone who is the face of one of the biggest teams in the world.

In that case I'll veer away from Sarri and say Jardim is my favoured choice. That is unless there is some reports I haven't seen about Jardim being a horrible person haha.

{Ed001's Note - it is because they don't seem to see it as such a big problem in Italy.}
