Alexis sanchez:

Started 12 league games, 2 goals and 3 assists.

Anthony Martial:

Started 18 league games (12 as sub) 9 goals and 5 assists.

Was sanchez worth all the hassle and commontion to sign him?

Has anthony martial been as bad as made out this season? Bearing in mind he was on course for double figures goals and assists before sanchez arrived.

If it was a straight choice between sanchez and martial, taking into account age and ability who would you keep?

Martial was doing ok, but was very inconsistent - I love watching him play, much better than Rashford for me. On paper Sanchez was a fantastic signing, like so many have been on paper.

Truth is a player is only as good as the manager let's them be more often that not. You see several of our ex-players and other Prem players pulling up trees in other teams/ leagues, not just our club but some players just don't fit certain styles or systems. Some join us and are never the same again afterwards.

Sanchez left Arsenal as their superstar - he is a fantastic player - almost every team in Europe would have signed him if they could.

Put it this way we have a lot of players playing well below their known potential - that is not a fluke, there is a pattern and I know how to change it, or at least try to change it!

Martial. Sanchez obviously the better player but he looks like he's on a completely different wavelength to all of our attackers and the midfield. Doesn't look suited to playing on the break at all, countless breaks fall apart when he slows it down. He'll no doubt improve but the last 5 months have been the worst he's played this decade. Shouldn't have signed him, think Woodward just fancied a "statement signing". That statement being he has no footballing intelligence.

I seen Memphis Depay score a hat trick for Lyon last game.

Martial, Sanchez, Lukaku and Rashford should scare the hell out of defences and score goals galore. Supported by Pog as a 10 I think he’d do wonders there.
