Almost the exact moment Rashford scores a cracker for England, stories emerge that Jose is prioritising a new backup striker to Lukaku over a left back.

Could be total bull, but if any truth in this, there'll be even less chances for two of the best young striking prospects in the country next season.

And just as bad, it gets more likely that Young and Valencia will be our esteemed full backs again next season.

Amen brother. Rashford struggles under Jose but looks a completely different payer when playing for England. Bear in mind Jose has won everything and Southgate is a novice. Must be a Rashford’s attitude I guess.

Maybe because its international football.

Or maybe attacking players do better when they're given the chance to attack?

End of season hysteria. We will buy a new LB just give it time.
Also Rashford is looking good for England as he did at the start of the season but he is still young and will have his ups and downs.
I think Jose rates him and over Martial. We won't buy another striker other than a top line support striker in Bale or Griezman. RW the priority.

I still prefer him at left back to be honest #injosewetrust.

19 appearances for England 3 goals that's just worse than 1 goal for every 6 appearances with no registered assists. Of course he has just better than 1 goal every 4 whislt playing for united.
The fact he plays well albeit a little inconsistent for united is why he is in the england squad. i'm sure southgate would like to see more of his club stats in front of goal.
Stats can be misleasing but it is a decent indicator that he scores more goals and makes more goals per appearance for united than he does England.

What's this Jose hates rashford.

He's the player who's played the most since Jose took over.

That's the best I've seen him play all season .
Actually spent most the game in the opposition half .

But the lad should the potential he has if we was playing for a club outside the EPL people would want to buy him .
Because he is a United player some would rather sell him.

Park. Are you impressed i stayed quiet on the subject? Rashford looks a world beater under Southgate but looks short of ideas for United. Must be coincidence 😂.

AAA haha I am mate fair play 😂. Thought rashy was class tonight some of his touches were great to watch. Looked really good centrally with that freedom to express himself. Looks much better as a second striker with someone to play off. Credit where it’s due to Southgate he has played some really exciting youngsters with Alexander Arnold and loftus cheek also impressing. I think you are right that it is no coincidence he has looked better tonight as jose’s Tactics have stifled our creative players. However, sometimes context has to be taken into consideration. Let’s see how he performs against one of the bigger boys.

Not taking anything away from him or Southgate though because it’s been a long time since I have enjoyed an england game. I don’t see why we cannot just praise rashford without always have to come back and bash Jose. Can the two not be mutually exclusive? Or are we always going to bash the manager when one of our players puts a good performance in during the World Cup? Don’t really think it’s necessary tbh. But anyway I’m impressed you kept quiet on the topic mate 😂.

Sorry but did i just read England play attacking football? And Southgate is an attacking manager getting the best out of Rashford as he scored 1 goal? Brilliant stuff.

To be fair to Southgate, he’s gone about his job in a very structured and impressive manner and has a good young side playing well.

Thanks park. Joking apart, Rashford was excellent last night. He was given a free role behind vardy and he did very well.

Spot on AAA. Eric I agree regarding Southgate. He wasn’t the flashy name or the experienced manager that people were hoping for. But I’m starting to think that will work in his favour. England have gone down the experienced and successful route of Capello which ultimately failed. Again the old head of hodgson failed miserably. They have gone for a younger manager who by all accounts wants to build an identity and style of play for England to move forward. He also seems to be popular with his players and appearances to have good man management skills. He’s not the most experienced but I think he is doing a really good job. Perhaps gone are the days where the England job is given to an old head as their last job before they retire. Perhaps we should be giving it to young and up and coming managers with the hunger and desire, who are more in touch with modern methods? Think this could be a solution for the FA.
