Anyone seen Paul Pogba's speeches in the french dressing room? There's two doing rounds on social media, hair-tingling, displaying excellent leadership qualities in a team of stars. Maybe he's finally blossoming?

And people seem happy to let him go .

Needs to turn potential in to the real deal but the ability is there, if we sell him I don't think we will buy a better player .
He will also imo suddenly look a better player away from this United team .
Top player, we need to get the best out of him . And a few others. If you can't get a player with pogbas ability to play well what's plan B.

I totally agree on pogba. He is one of players that i would much rather stayed. I don't see anybody coming in that is better than him i'd rather we build with him in it. If its not too late if it was me as coach i'd do whatever it takes to get him back on board.
But if pogba won't climb down to meet half way and wants out well then we need to get the best deal possible and get the best replacement possible and we all move on. That's how i see it.

That's all people have said about martial Shaw a few others .

I am a big supporter of Pogba and was really impressed with his speeches in the locker room. He wanted to be a leader, has the natural ability and personality, and he backed it up on the pitch.

In total contrast, Antoine Griezmann scores against Uruguay, refuses to celebrate due to his great love for Uruguay, then puts a URUGUAYAN flag around his shoulders in the post-match press conference. What an ass.

But the difference is that in tje managers pinion we have players better than shaw are martial in their preferred positions.
He clearly prefers anyone tip shaw at lb ladt season. Even darmain was picked ahead of him.
But shaw has his chance on tour good reports about his fitness if we can't get who we want at lb then he can stake a claim but if we sign one then he either sits out his big contract and gets a nice sign on fee as a free or he moves on to receive his career.
Martial jas been offered a contract he won't sign it. He sees lukaku sanchez and rash ajead of him and he wants out. He wants more game time than he thinks he will get at United. If we can't get the fee or use him to get another player we want he will have to stay and figjt for his place but he knows he is a bit down the pecking order. He could have nailed down a place for himself on the right. I think he could do a great job from there and make the position his own with his pace and dribbling skills. But it never happened.

Pogba is our best midfielder by a country mile. Agreed he needs to be more consistent, but in no way should he be allowed to leave. Build around him like France do. Matic and Fred should help.

Shaw I really want to work, but we know deep down it won’t. He’s had too many chances and the facts Ed2 said ink you Everton have shown interest speaks volumes about his ability.

Martial - you know my views. All the talent in the world but cannot be bothered. Cut him loose in Italy and he’ll be fine.

The difference is you rate pogba .
If and it is an if the manager wants rid of Shaw pogba and martial there is no difference .

*Grabs Popcorn*

And this is why hiring Mourinho was a bad decision in the first place. Its deja-vu all over again.

Jred.
As i said above personally if i was coach i would try and sort pogba because there is nobody better available just now. But we already have Better than shaw and martial In their favoured position so if as coach and don't fancy them and they want i out would let them go. But i'd make a bigger every with pogba because he is much more important and influential
You really have a problem with people having any opinion. That's what the page is about for 90% on here.
I can't tell what's going to happen but only what i would like to happen same as everybody else.

Eric, you hit the nail on the head with all of the players you mentioned.
Pogba seems to have changed, the hair styles disappeared, the social media hype disappeared. Maybe he's finally realized that football comes first. I critisized him around 6 months ago on this site as he was paying more attention to his image than his career, and i got completely shot down for it. The simple fact is football should come first.
I'm not a Shaw fan, but photos of him recently looking like he's lost his weight and gained fitness have been backed by United officials saying he's broken all records for fitness. That bodes well for him and i hope he can turn his career around. I don't think he's great positionally, but if he's fit, then it'll make the job easier.
Martial, not sure what to make of him. He has the talent, but not the application. The fact he barely smiles when he scores a goal, really pisses me off. He shows zero passion and that's not a great attribute in any person. If we have a chance to do a deal with PSG with Mbappe coming our way and we give them £120m on top, then I'll snatch their hands off.

It's not about what you or me think it's about Jose.
Back the manager but only if you agree with him?

12.) 18 Jul 2018

Pogba is not going anywhere. and if Jose has any positivity in mind. he will declare him captain. And I feel it should happen.

Do you agree with everything the manager does and says jred?
Do you not give an opinion if it differs to the manager.
I do back the manager but due the the fact i have a mind of my own i don't agree with all he says and does and state my opinion.
So jred do you back the manager?
Do you agree with everything he says and does?
Do you not give opinions that differ from tje club or coaches strategy?
Do you not call players out that played poorly or make mistakes?

Jred why not answer the question?
Do you agree with everything the manager does and says?

Problem is (I'm no expert) but Mourinho hasn't adapted to Manchester United. He come in and done it the Mourinho way yet again. A brilliant manager that hasn't and shown willingness to change and adapt his ways. A man that's too stubborn for his own good. A man that has and carries on to play dated football.

Personally I want him gone. I'm not for one for changing and sacking. But he hasn't adapted to United philosophy. Sir Bobby must be seething in what the club has become under him.

I really hope with Carrick and the promotion of McKenna, they have some influence and help reshape the club. Hope he really changes his ways because if he doesn't then get ready for Van Gaal 2.0.

Yes we finished 2nd but is that due to Chelsea having their own mini crisis. Arsenal about 2 years behind in need of change. Spurs working on a limited budget because of a new stadium. Liverpool playing with a (relegation back 5) for half a season. We won't finish 2nd again this season if we play the same again this season.

Players like Martial, Pogba struggle because they aren't allowed to express themselves. They have to play within the system. Every player than has some flair will be stag mented. Players like Matic, Fellaini do well because they are Mourinho players that do his job.

Anyway sorry for the long rant. This is been a year worth of frustration.

17.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 14:55:52
Who replaces him?

18.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 14:56:10
Ken
No i don't I've been fairly critical of Jose as you have pointed out many times in the past.
But i haven't rolled out the back the manager line every 5 minutes then sulk the moment he does some thing I don't like .

Back to my op, what you have said about pogba is all people have been saying about Shaw and martial for example . But you have disagreed all season with it, with" if he is not what the manager wants, if he wants to leave he should leave etc etc ". But the moment it's a player you rate?

Same as you going on and on about the manager needs to be backed needs to have his own players, it's not his fault he needs x y and z. Until 1 of them players is fellaini a player you don't rate .

19.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 15:15:57
So jred in essence what you are saying is its ok to critisise jose as long as you agree but if you don't agree its not ok to critisise.
Get over yourself.

20.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 16:00:57
Ken
No not really Ken.
I don't have any issues with some one given the manager stick .
But a few like yourself who go on and on about backing the manager when it suits .
All season really, when it justifys the hate being dished out for a United player but change his tune the moment it's a player you rate .
Same with the wig post after post about Jose needs xy z, until it's a player you don't rate.
People get mixed up imo with what they would like to happen, wish would happen and what is really going on.
You have peddled it all season unless it doesn't suit what you want.

21.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 17:57:15
Not all all jred.
There is a big distinction in paying what i would like to happen. That's the point of this site for many.
Most people don't try to predict what will happen they post what they would Like to happen. Why do you have an issue with that?

22.) 18 Jul 2018
18 Jul 2018 18:11:45
Ah so it's just what you would like to happen now. Ok lol.
