Is there a worse striker in world football than Rashford?

Is there a more frustrating player than martial.
Cul de sac after cul de sac.
Consistenly inconsistent. Just like rashford. Young players will be inconsistent but these 2 go from good to rotten there seems to be no inbetween.
Hard to blame the manager for the finishing or final ball from those 2 tonight.
You can blame the manager for picking a woefully out of form matic.

That is so embarrassing I cannot believe you wrote that. Call yourself a fan!

The managers gesture when he missed a chance was a lot worse in my eyes,

{Ed002's Note - Fingers against the side of the head making the moose signal whilst shouting "Air Canada"?}

He would be better off in Canada managing moose, and he could shout do you know how much it would cost man united to sack me, his own words.

How is saying that Rashford is a poor poor striker making me a non fan of Manchester United? Last i heard was Manchester United not Rashford United. Just bcos he is your pal and may be plays with you in the park sometimes, that does not make him a good player. He can't even finish his breakfast even when spoonfed. You can keep saying he is young and will develop and i can bet that after 15 years we will still be having the same discussion. He is rubbish.

You didn’t say he was a poor striker, you asked if there was a worse striker in world football. As others have said, it’s a retry embarrassing statement to make about one of our own players and your second post is a little childish. He’s 20, clearly his progress has stalled but he needs nurturing not slagging off. Southgate seems to have a lot of faith in him and if rumours about Madrid begin interested are true then perhaps they know a little more about potential than you do.

The Class of ‘92 had hardly made an appearance between them when they were 20, how frustrating was Ronaldo in his early years? I have no idea if Rashford will develop into a top player but I’m happy to wait and see.

As for last night, Rashford stayed on the pitch all night so Jose (despite his histrionics) could see that he was the main threat who was causing all the problems. His finishing was not good but I don’t think it was dreadful, he missed a few chances that on another night he would have slotted away, yet he never stopped trying, never stopped running, and never stopped causing problems.

He’s als played more minutes under Mourinho than any other player so Jose sees something that he thinks is worth persevering with.

Good post ajh.
Calling a club player frustrating means i can't call myself a fan? That's nonsense.
But calling the manager out as finished is ok jred?
How is that not double standards.
All emplyees of the club so do you consider yourself a fan?
Where you not frustrated by martial last night?

Just because Real are interested in him doesn't make him better, Tony. I am sorry that you don't like what i say about the lad but that is my truth about Rashford. You say that on another day he would put those chances away. Its been 3 years and i am still waiting for that "another day". He simply isn't good enough in front of goal. Even Macheda would have put those chances away. Yes Rashford runs and runs and "tries" but that's about it. The only reason he gets into the team is because he puts a shift in and tracks back, probably what our manager values. Did you see Jose's reaction to his misses?

10.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 08:52:15
I did see Jose's reaction and i though he was out of order. However, he keeps picking him and he keeps playing him so maybe he has some faith that the kid is talented.

I accept you think he didn't play well, I think he played great but his finishing was poor, my issue is with your writing him off for the next 15 years. Remember Thiery Henry? Who would have thought he would go on to be such a great striker. Harry Kane, went on loan several times and never set the world alight.

Right now, Rashford is a better option than Lukaku as was proved last night. Lukaku's only contribution is scoring and when he isn't doing that he becomes a passenger.

As for last night there were a lot of players who had far worse games than Rashford so not sure why you chose to single him out.

eas poor.,

Come on boys .
The worse striker in world football?
Really
About a young Local man United player . Is that what our fan base is about or is it the exact opposite.

22 players on the pitch, all kind of things to talk about but for some reason it's always about the same players . The game had barely finished .

Agreed Tony, there were quite a few of them who were crap but Rashford played striker and his task is to put the ball in the back of the net which he failed several times. That is my only point and that's why specified striker. I didn't ask for a worse player cz there are millions. Lukaku is a donkey when he isn't scoring. We can agree to disagree on Rashford though. For me he isn't what everybody say he is.

It's embarrassing for several reasons Firstly having accepted your right to voice an opinion about the player it is just plain wrong to think he is the worst striker in world football. Secondly he is just one of many many players who are not performing at club level yet when he plays for his national team he does well. Thirdly he is still trying to score and was our brightest attacker last night. Fourthly when the team and Ora player are going through a bad patch but are trying then you support them. He obviously tried last night. Fifthly if he were to read your comments do you think that he would feel more or less confidence to perform. He IS still a young guy with obvious talent and he needs to be nurtured and helped through this period. A real fan appreciates these points and acts accordingly. I hate it as much as you when he misses. I hate it as much as you if I think a player does not try. Last night he tried. So your comment was out of order.

Jred, let's talk about Jose then. Obviously loathing him is acceptable but saying something about a player is taboo.

Hendonred, if Rashford were here on this page i would pity him. He rather be on the field practising his goal scoring. I am sorry but i don't care about what he does for England, its about United for me. I appreciate him trying but one day you just have to see the end result which is what i expect from him.

He has been what 4 years at the club now. Has he done absolutely anything worthwhile other than matching Usain Bolt on running? Jose has been here 2 and a half years yet we all want him gone because we don't see an improvement but we don't measure players using the same yardstick, do we?

15.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 12:51:57
he made his debut at 17, very few players do that. he's an England regular at 20, very few players do that. he's a regular at United form being 18, very few players do that. do you think maybe, just maybe, it might be you who is wrong and that he actually has potential?

I get you call it how you see it, we can debate whether using word like crap and donkey about out players is appropriate but that aside, writing off a 20 year old who a lot of Managers seem to think has something is at best blinkered.

16.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 13:20:14
I didn't even think he was the worse player on the pitch never mind world football.
If he keeps getting and creating chances I think the goals will come, I only worry when a striker isn't getting chances.
Rasford imo looks a better option than lukaku who looks a bit jaded and low in confidence imo .
Also why not judge a player on how he plays for his national team?

17.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 13:26:59
Sure Tony, i apologise for those words and take them back. Rooney and Owen were similar and a lot further by the time they were 20. Its a straight comparison. Rashford needs to buck up and be like the above stated or become Walcott, Lennon or Wilshere who also debuted around the same age. Its not a snap judgement for me on Rashford, its 4 years in the making. Its a difference of opinion, while you are patient on him and not the manager, i am patient on the manager and not Rashford.

18.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 16:56:36
Rashford worked his socks off last night, he made intelligent runs, worked hard to get the ball back, found space, but he missed his chances. That leads to his own supporters calling him the worse striker in the world, and then we wonder why our fans are called toxic 🧐.

19.) 28 Nov 2018
28 Nov 2018 22:49:14
Rashford has lots of ability he plays a part in nearly all our games. He always tries hard and wants to play for the team.
His finishing is very inconsistent but as jred said the goals will come if he keeps getting into positions and gains experience.
But as a striker if you miss your chances or fluffed your final pass it means you have not done the most important part of your job well on the night.
He had 5 or 6 chances last night to eother score or create a goal and none came off and at this level that can come back to bite you.
I think that sanchez brings more out of martial. Last night he just had a mare. He tried and worked hard but his touch was off and his decision making was poor from start to finish.
It happens with young players great 1 game poor the next. I personally think rashford will prove to be a better player for the club in the long run but only time will tell on that.
