Hi all,
Thanks to the Eds as always.
I have never been more excited as a United fan.
Over the past 25 years of supporting United, I had grown to know what to expect. Success was inevitable, big signings were always going to happen and we were serious contenders on all competitive fronts. However, over the past 5 years I had grown used to seeing a different United. A United that isn't any of the above points I've already mentioned. With each match filling me with anxiety, watching my team was almost becoming something I can't enjoy.
But, we have finally reached the time for change. Under Ole, there is now genuine determination for my club to succeed once again. There is determination to remove anyone that is facing any direction but forwards. There is determination to only recruit players that want to play for a love of the club. I still have no idea what to expect over the next few months, but for the first time in years, I mean that in a way that I expect nothing but progress.
We are Manchester United, and from here things will only get better.

Great Post King gigsy. I love and share your optimism for the future and hope that the talk from Olly is not hollow and he us allowed to make the changes we know are needed.
Whatever I will remain a loyal and optimistic supporter and hope for better next year.

Giggsy that's a good post mate.
Its all gone wrong over the past 6 years but a new season is a new beginning.
Ole has a tough job but i believe he knows what he wants to do.

Ajh made a good point the other day. That 2 or 3 new 1st team players arriving and clicking it could improve the other 8 dramatically.

For me the mist important thing in any game is to be in control ( that can be with or without the ball) but we rarely look in control. No calmness at the back and really poor communication and that starts with ddg.
We don't control possession or tempo in against the better teams and havnt Done for years.
We lack pace awareness vision movement and invention across the midfield and attack.

We have some highly regarded youth players and i trust ole to give them a chance next season. Once he rids us of all the big time charlies we will be better off.

There were some severe critics of jose last season and earlier this and in many ways a lot of that critisism was justified.
He was not observing and adhering yo the clubs traditions.
He was surly
He didn't look interested
He didn't appear to be trying his best.
He said controversial things to the press knowing it would welcome adverse publicity.
Now is the time to rid ourselves of the players who do all the above and worse.
So much to look forward to lots of fans only supporting in the last 30 years won't have seen anything like it.
But i'm of an age where I've seen it before. We will come back. The rules are different now and it won't be easy but i can't wait to enjoy the ride.

Love the optimism!

I think Ole is a place holder for another manager and I think he is the right guy for now. Feels like we may have now reached rock bottom and the wheels are in motion to bounce back.

Such a refreshing thread. There are lots of things wrong with our club at the moment but it's only football. We're not at war in South Sudan. Bit of perspective and (cautious) optimism is just what's needed sometimes.
