What do we think United strategy is? And what style of play and formation in 19/ 20 and beyond?
Do we see 3 at the back with more attack minded full backs? Would that get the best out of our center backs?
Then 3 in midfield and two up top?
Has anybody seen Joao Felix play? What type of player is he? And where would he fit in?
Is Daniel James seen as a wingback? Winger? Or one of a front three?
We definitely need a more mobile midfield - so how do we get the best out of Pogba? Or do we get rid?
Interested to get the groups and Ed’s thoughts.

For me I’d like to go to a 4-4-2 old school Man Utd be solid from the get go. Run people off the park.

Joao felix looks to a very very good player and has a lot of potential but people need only look at Martin odegaard he was in a similar boat and now he’s no where.

I think Daniel James will be a winger or wing forward. Wing back isn’t something I’d think Man Utd would look to play.

I think we need to get someone similar to Kante to then allow pogba to flourish. Like a gueye sort of player but i also think he’s more trouble than he’s worth and if I was manager and got 100 million I’d shake there hand and help pack his bags.

I would go for a 4-3-3 formation.
This will give more control in midfield.

If we sign a more mobile defensive midfielder like Kante and a top midfielder like Saul Niguez, then Pogba will flourish.
Right now all the forward passes and creative play comes from Pogba.
That's why we need a midfielder like Saul or Veratti to give more quality in the middle of the park.

Additionally, our current forwards Lukaku and Martial do not make enough forward runs for the midfield to pick a pass.
The signing of Daniel James will definitely inject serious pace and our team will be even more threatening in counter attacks.

A right sided attacker and a RB like Wan Bissaka would massively improve the squad.

Finally a top centre-half who can play out from the back and partner Lindelof will round out a good transfer window.

4-3-3 would be the simplest option. As for three in the back, we barely have one center back who is consistent in Lindelof, let alone three. That said, Dalot would be an ideal wingback.

Joao Felix looks very impressive, from what I have seen of him. A Portuguese friend of mine told me he reminds him of Rui Costa. Seems like a skillful and clever player, who has a good frame that he will grow into. But I am guessing he will go to Atletico Madrid, or else stay put for another year.

As True Red said, if we get a good defensive mid behind Pogba, it will help tremendously. Hope he stays.
