Great read as always ed1.

Good to see bundesliga is implementing the brain screening into the health checkup. Hopefully it is good and not done just for the sake of doing it. Football authorities worldwide haven't yet taken head injuries seriously. Just last season many head injuries were poorly dealt with.

Also, what do you make of Benitez leaving Newcastle. I think it indicates Ashley isn't going to sell the club to that Arab guy anytime soon. I think Newcastle are going to struggle for PL safety without Be noted and any significant investment. Their squad isn't too great IMO.
Although I don't think they are interested but Before would be a great fix for Chelsea right now, although the fans mayn't like him there.

Lastly Ed, which system of relegation/ promotion do you prefer, the Championship to PL where 3 PL team go down and 3 teams automatically come up or a playoff between the 3rd team like in Germany.

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - cheers Deep. I fully agree on the brain screening, though they have not confirmed when it will be implemented.

I actually think that losing Rafa makes it more likely the club is sold. No new owner ever wants to keep the man in the seat and it is easier to get shut of a cheap manager than an expensive one. They could even win the fans over immediately by bringing him back.

I prefer automatic promotion, play-offs are just about money.}

Yeah maybe you are right about that and the new owners will be instantly popular with the geordies if they then bring back Rafa. But I will only believe it when I see Ashley has actually sold the club. There have been lots of takeover nearly done to then falter at the "end" with Ashley.

{Ed002's Note - That is not going to happen.}
