As things draw to a close I have mixed feelings.

On balance the squad overall is stronger with the introductions of Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, James and Greenwood in particular. But on the other hand we have left so much on the table. Plenty of good players have passed us by as we have sat on the sidelines.

I hope we don't make a silly, embarrassing move tomorrow.

Let's just see what the young lads can do - it's not the end of the world!

the defense for me is sorted we have fixed the issues we have had in defense we are much stronger

looks like lukaku is off to inter, which leaves us very thin in offence rashford has not shown to be a 20-30 goal player.

martial has shown he can get goals but can we rely on him martial and james to get goals i'm not so sure.

we would be stupid to not sign a replacement.

also the central midfield is very thin

other than pogba we have no one than can play that pass.


fred has had a season and we may see a much better player this season, but i am not confident with the current team going into the season.

arsenals defensive/ midfield problems and Chelsea ban may have helped us in a quest for top 4 .


but the teams below will fancy there chance knowing arsenal and Chelsea have not really made major changes.

We are in a lose/ lose situation now Fresh.

Don’t sign someone tomorrow = incompetent.
Do sign someone tomorrow = panic buy, even if that signing is Bruno or SMS who we’ve looked at all summer.

I would like to see us try and get an experienced DM in Matuidi as we need another holding midfielder. its looking like oles happy with our AM options so no Fernandes
I'm happy were going with the youngsters as we have a fine crop.
Defence very happy with sorted for the foreseeable
So if you look at it logically were really only two world classs midfielders away from being a team fighting for honours again.

I worry about the creativity from midfield for the likes of rashford, Greenwood or martial to get the goals. If pogba does leave or if he stays and is out for any period of time we might struggle. Would have liked to have signed Fernandes.

Not the end of the world no, but people put a lot of money from their pockets into supporting the club and helping put it where it is. The club is a shambles top to bottom when buying and selling players. Fans that pay and go to games don't deserve the attitude "its not the end of the world".
