Mourinho and Keane spot on - no positives to take, a lacklustre team who doesn't have the ability or character to do better. £900m spent and Lingard up front when you're chasing a game?

Not Ole's fault, but the job is too much for him. Mourinho should have been backed and allowed to clear out the crap that pulls on the shirt week in week out.

I could go on, but won't. However, I will say that Rashford should be a squad player, not the main striker for a club of our size.

They're not even a collective team that you can support or like. Maguire, Wan-Bissaka and James - got to feel sorry for them. They won't win anything here for years.

{Ed004's Note - I dont think Ole is the best manager available but what manager is going to be able to play the quick attacking football we crave with the players we currently have at our disposal? Our front 6 that ended that game wouldnt look out of place at a side trying to avoid relegation. We were missing vital players in Pogba, Martial and a fully fit Rashford (who didnt look right from minute 1). But before this season even started we all recognised we lacked a top right winger and attacking midfielder. So the fact we have lost our only world class midfielder and our two only attacking threats was always going to see us struggle. I think the blame is solely at the feet of Ed and whoever deals with our transfers.}

I agree Ed, but it’ll be Ole’s head that role first. That’s the way it is.

I do believe that they could do better though - too many players have overinflated egos and a sense of entitlement : Rashford to name but one.

{Ed004's Note - I am not even sure we can tarnish Rashfords reputation so quickly. We havent heard one pundit or manager comment on his professionalism. Additionally hes been praised for his work ethic and always comes across humble in interviews.}

How about his output Ed? He strolls around, doesn’t close down with any vigour and makes very few intelligent runs. With his pace he should be on the shoulder, or making darts toward the near post.

{Ed004's Note - But he does close down with vigour, even today when he didnt look right he closed the keeper down on 40 yard runs multiple times}

Ed004,

Shaw is injured so it’s rashford’s turn this week to be the one who people ignore anything good he does. He’s useless, wouldn’t get in any other premier league team and believes his own hype, sell him and all the others.

{Ed004's Note - No player is safe anymore}

Have to agree with ed here. Gary Neville actually picked up on it in commentary and I've noticed it a lot, especially midweek. He was chasing down every lost cause. Not just chasing, but properly long distance sprinting. Needs to conserve his energy more, as he looks knackered and leggy when he does get on the ball.

Perhaps I don’t see it. I just don’t rate him as a centre forward.

It's ironic really. I too thought that Rashford was expending energy chasing down ball aftwr ball and with little or no chance of gaining from it. Yet if he didn't do that people would say he was slacking. Lose lose really. From what I have seen he is humble works hard doesn't complain and tries even with lost causes. So yes he is not the finished article but I like the kid and want him to succeed and will back him.

Totally agree with Ed004.

We are relying on two 21 year olds with no proven track record to spearhead our attack.
