Did u hear about the Japanese Super Cup penalty shootout Ed? Apparently only Iniesta scored, the other 9 all failed including Vermalen.

{Ed001's Note - really? I will have to look that up. That is embarrassing if true, but probably down to politeness from the Japanese. They are so polite they were no doubt telling the keepers which way they were going to hit it before they did so....

I have to be honest I used to watch the J-League a lot. Not because the footie was any good though, but because of the politeness. It was so refreshing after the Prem. No one argued with the ref. No one stuck their arm up claiming they should have had a throw after they clearly were the one who booted the ball out. They just got on with the game and let the officials decide.}

The first 4 in penalty shootout went in and next 9 missed, which about 5/ 6 of them hit woodwork albeit a couple of saves tipped on to post. Some were conversions then finally a winner.

There was a link on skysports few days ago, didn't show first 4 showed the next 10. Was weird watching 9 in a row missing.
