Interesting position we find ourselves in now. In theory, the West Ham game doesn't really matter if we beat Leicester by a few goals on the final day of the season which makes me wonder whether Oli might rest some players.

I suppose there's an argument to be made that Spurs might do us a favor and take some points off Leicester (meaning a victory in the West Ham game would leave us only needing a point against Leicester), but even in the best case scenario, we can't afford to lose against Leicester and resting a few key players over the next week would certainly decrease the likelihood of that happening.

Whilst Leicester playing first gives them an advantage as they'll be fresher, it does give Oli a chance to plan ahead when setting up for the West Ham and Chelski games.

gotta love a good end to a season with something to look forward to.
The good is only 3 between us and leicester, so if we are even on points then and beat them by 2 goals we are home and dry. Just need Moumou and Liverpool to do us a favour. Arsenal beating liverpool may drive both tottenham and liverpool to get wins in the next game.

I’m not banking on Liverpool doing us any favors, RLF. They’re dead on their feet and have been for five months now. They have nothing to play for and with Mane and Salah plotting their summer moves, I can only hope that they don’t lose too badly as our goal difference is still better than Chelski’s.

The only positive is that Lampard will probably rest players for the cup tie as he will see Liverpool as a very winnable game and a good chance for them to cement top four.

Interesting theory but I don’t think we can afford to lose to West Ham as if Leicester win we’d need to win by at least three goals against Leicester (or more depending on the margins of win/ loss in the penultimate games) .

If anything, batter West Ham by enough that a draw against Leicester would be enough, put the onus on Leicester to attack us and nullify their counter attack with our own.

A West Ham win tonight should put them mathematically safe by the time we play - every little helps.
