Oh no I don't think we would ever get back to the glory days that's near on impossible to achieve nowadays, I'm just happy to be in the mix and relevant again top for was the objective this year hopefully we achieve this and get the europa.

That gives us confidence and a decent platform for next season, it would be a shame to go backwards and hover around 6th/ 7th/ 8th we need to be at minimum top four.

{Ed047's Note - I wasn't thinking of the glory years Simon but more of just a team fit for purpose.

The results against the teams I mentioned I think had fans believing that was now happening, a bit like gooners believing the 22 game unbeaten run under Emery meant we were relevant again when it meant nothing like it.

My opinion is you are a long way from being relevant again and top 4 will certainly help that but the reality of that is, Leicester are actually handing it to you on a plate.

I am certainly under no illusion that we will be world beaters anytime soon and I'm sure Oli isn't that daft either, Rome wasn't built in a day but I do feel we are starting to gel more and confidence will grow.

In my opinion Frank played a blinder today by stopping us from playing we should learn from this and move on, most posters act like the world has ended and its our divine right to win every game.

Like I said il be happy with top four and hopefully the europa. Then who knows what the objectives would be next season but there needs to be a plan.

First defeat since Jan, poor display all round but it happens. Bruno has made a difference, as has having Rash and Pogba back, but the squad is thin. Huge improvement in recent months but more depth needed.

It wasn’t the defeat, you lose games, it was the negative tactics and team changes at the start that was so naive. No doubt there will be denial but it was there for all to see. Naive management.

So what's the problem in saying the truth St. Lusia? When we win and play good football we praise the manager, fair enough. But when we are second best all match we haven't the right to criticize? It seems that our managers only plan against top 4 is to be compact and find spaces in their defence to counter attack . But hey, no everyone will give us space, they learned their lesson.

We’ve a much better squad than arsenal, so it could be worse lol.

I’d take your front 3, Rashford, Greenwood and Martial, then I’d have Fernandes and AWB.

The rest you can keep mate, they simply aren’t good enough or in reality are squad players in my opinion.

You’re 31 points away from Liverpool and fighting it out with a pool of piss poor teams and but for Leicester falling over themselves to give you fourth spot you wouldn’t even be in with a chance of it.

You can’t seriously get carried away with your run since lockdown and think YES! we’re back.

I appreciate Fernandes has been a huge breath of fresh air but he’s still surrounded by dross from before.

That aside your squad depth is non existent.

I think we have a better squad yeah, I think arsenal lack a lot in defence. Your midfield in theory should be adept, and I rate torreira and guendouzi however again lacking. I have to say although you think the likes of mctominay and Fred etc are squad players and they are, have certainly improved. Matic seems to have found a vein of form, which rarely lasts long. And pogba seems to be keeping simple. I think all 4 of those would get into the arsenal squad. But agreed, our first choice front 3 plus fernandes very much paper over the cracks.

I think both clubs have got a lot to seriously think about. The good thing is for both united and arsenal I see a way forward, cannot day that in any tune for spurs right now haha!

{Ed047's Note - personally I’m not sure about Guendouzi but really like Torriera.

I 100% wouldn’t have any of the 4 you mention.

The best thing is we can hopefully both only get better! 👍🏼

I don’t think any of us seriously think we’re back but more nice to see some proper footy played. We’ve had a good record against the top 6 this season and struggled to bear some lower teams. Of which we have beaten recently. It’s not leaps and bounds but clear to see improvement.

I like Arteta and think he could do very well but I do question arsenals recruitment as of late. A few shrewd signings could see you climb the table like we have seen ourselves do this season.

Good luck in the final, would rather see arsenal win it than Chelsea regardless of the loss last night.

The last 2 results have been nice but only from the point of view that the team seem to be together which I’ve not seen for ages but beating City and Liverpool doesn’t count for much else right now.

Definitely need some shrewd signings but who, I’ve no idea mate.
