If any eds are about I'm just curious as to whether Fellaini has any other potential suitors apart from Napoli? The reason I ask is because I've noticed Napoli have just signed De Guzman from Villareal which I presume has something to do with the pictures I've sign of Fellaini on crutches, thanks in advance

AVO

{Ed002's Note - I am aware that Spurs and Bursaspor considered him, but if fit, the loan to Napoli will go ahead. De Guzman was always going to be moving to Napoli.}

1.) Thanks ed!

Mehdi Benatia has told Roma he wants to join Bayern Munich, according to L'Equipe.

AVO

{Ed002's Note - That should not be a shock.}

1.) Again what I told u 2 days before was correct. But u guys jeep on abusing me .

2.) Luke,

Sometimes you just need to be a little more modest in life, nobody really cares who gives us information, if you are arrogant about it, you will get abused.

3.) You're doing pretty well Luke.

4.) Friend working as an intern at a tabloid newspaper told me last night they have heard Utd are to bid for Joel Veltman & Juan Cuadrado to cover the Centre Back & Right Wing Back slots!

They are also looking at either De Jong or Luis Gustavo for the Defensive Midfield role (Vidal & Carvalho are unobtainable for Utd).

5.) 20 Aug 2014 11:53:06
Because anyone can spout off a mix of what they read on twitter and what Ed002 has confirmed and claim to be 'in the know'. I'll never understand this need for people to act like they know what's going on behind the scenes. It is truly tragic.

6.) I've heard quite a bit about Veltman being the next Dutch CB star. But since de Vrij is the same age and started instead of Veltman in the world cup, surely de Vrij is the better player?

From what I heard, Veltman started playing really well then became sloppy. So is it a case of Veltman is the better player due to raw potential that just needs to developed properly and he is preferred to de Vrij? Or did we lose out on de Vrij due to being overconfident that we would sign Hummels and now have to settle for 2nd best(Dutch CB of course)?

7.) 20 Aug 2014 13:54:31
I'm just passing on what I saw online, not claiming to have any insight as to what's going on behind the scenes

8.) Sorry AVO I should have specified - I was responding to the 'I told you so' from LukeShaw.

9.) 20 Aug 2014 15:13:22
Sorry I didn't realise :) I just hope he can take an 'I told you so' when he gets something wrong!

I know it's been reported by the daily mail but the fact we're being linked to a £100m move for Di maria is crazy to me! For me that money would be better spent on bringing back Ronaldo. The way I see our transfer dealings going we'll sign Rojo and Blind for a combined fee of around £30m, Benatia still seems possible with Vlaar most likely backup while I reckon be Vidal OR Di Maria if we're to get either as our big marquee signing
Sorry for the long post

AVO

1.) Crazy money but that includes wages for a termed contract, ronaldo is 30 next year and with wages would cost a lot more than di maria,

2.) Get over Ronaldo, it's midfield and defense where we are struggling.
The prority should be Vidal and two center backs.

3.) Next time read it whole. 50m Fee + 50 million in terms of wages (@ 10m per year for 5 year deal)

We are not going to sing Vlaar. Wait it out man.

4.) 18 Aug 2014 09:26:48
AVO,

You have fallen into the trap of reading a headline and not the story. The Daily Fail like to make people buy their paper with a massive headline that people believe. Surprisingly we will not be paying 100m for Di Maria, this would be the cost of him over say a 5 year spell, with wages etc. Ronaldo would cost considerably more.

5.) It's a £100m package, not a £100m transfer fee. His five year salary is included in the £100m plus other costs.

6.) Ronaldo's wages will be close to that over 5 years I would imagine.

Hi ed I just read that xavi might be available, any interest from United at all?

AVO

1.) There's talk that he's agreed a move to the middle east already.

2.) 01 Jul 2014 18:20:50
Were building for the future why would we need a 34 year old on massive wages?

3.) MrE because he's still a brilliant footballer and would make a huge difference to us challenging for the league and not challenging for it, we might only get 2 good years from him but with legs and energy around him he would perform master classes week in week out on how to control a football game. also his name and respect in the game alone would give the rest of the players around him a massive lift and bring there games on tenfold. he may also be able to teach our current crop of average midfielders a thing or 2 while he's here too, just a thought

4.) 01 Jul 2014 21:12:01
Nope, can't see it happening.

5.) 01 Jul 2014 22:24:39
with no transfer fee it would be a great signing, his legs are not what they were but he would be a massive influence in the dressing room and would inspire our new youung signings and would make a bigger and more positive contribution than clev fletch fellani and anderson combined

6.) 02 Jul 2014 00:00:54
If Xavi signs I will quite happily moon old Trafford from the centre circle first home game of the season whilst wearing a cantona mask

7.) Lets not there's no saying he could handle a Stoke match in the winter apart from that he's off to the sun

8.) I think if Xavi still believed he could play at the highest level he would be very interested in a move to the EPL. Unfortunately he, like many who watch Spanish football regularly, realised 18 months ago that the end of his time at the top was fast approaching.

Now that we have Shaw and Herrera I reckon we need a centre half, another centre midfielder (Unless Rooney drops back) and a preferably left sided wide player as januzaj can play both wings and Valencia is predominantly right sided. For centre half I believe we'll eventually sign Vermaelen and he'll be paired with Smalling. If we are to sign another midfielder I would love Vidal but I see De Jong or Song as much more realistic options for us. Out wide I don't really see who we will go for, names being touted are Sanchez and Robben but again do they seem realistic? Departures I would hope for would be nani, young, cleverley and welbeck and I wouldn't like to see fellaini leave.
AVO

AVO

1.) 29 Jun 2014 16:15:33
Please don't say Rooney drop back. He isn't a midfielder.

2.) I'd rather have the Hantavirus than song.

3.) 29 Jun 2014 16:33:33
So you'd sign Song, keep fellaini but sell cleverley and welbeck.

Just with the subject of wingers, personally I'd like someone top quality like Sanchez or even Robben. But for a younger, promising option why not go for Tom Ince? He's a free agent, has bags of pace and an eye for goal

AVO

AVO

1.) 28 Jun 2014 13:30:34
He reminds me of Young, Bags of Pace and no idea what to do with it. Also if you want a Young Pacey Winger then we have Zaha. I can not remember the last time he was mentioned by anyone on here. His time Under Moyes is best forgotten, also given he could not even break into the Cardiff team but still. He had bags of potential

2.) 28 Jun 2014 13:58:29
We have enough young wingers with jabuzaj, zaha and lingard. We need someone to do a job now.

As much as this seems like a silly reason, I would presume if Vidal did sign he'd want the number 23 considering he has the number tattooed on his arm

Sorry ed just eager for us to sign a quality midfielder! Happy no matter how the club go about achieving that

Could this 'Plan' of Anderson to follow Nani to Lisbon be connected to Lisbon's supposed expectation that Carvalho will leave ed?

AVO

{Ed002's Note - Why do you want to complicate matters?}
