Imagine if we complete the gundogan deal, then push for Vidal. Those two with Herrera in a midfield three would have everything!

Vidal is the other MF name I've had in my head as well! From what Ed has said its could be an achievable transfer, i think that would give us brilliant options in the middle then

we clearlly tried in the summer to get vidal and if what the ed said is true about juve looking to get rid of him we could possibly get him a lot cheaper than the 40 million quoted last summer.
what a midfield 3 we would have.
it also looks like we are going to sort our targets out very early for a change, very exciting summer ahead :) "hopefully"

I said it a while back if we could get both Vidal and Gundogan for considerably less due to their injuries we could be on to a winner if both returned to former glory. Gundogan as the DM, Herrera in front with Vidal just in front of him. Depay, Rooney then Either Mata/Di Maria/Januzaj what a team.
{Ed004's Note - I don't think Gundogan has ever played the holding role in midfield. Sounds good the way you describe it but seems a bit unbalanced.}

We need some physicality in midfield if LVG opts to drop Felliani next season (which I don't think he will). Carvalho or Naingogglan would be perfect. But a midfield 3 of Gundogan sitting deep, Herrera slightly ahead playing box to box and the big Fella driving at defenders with his powerful presence could be key to winning is the league next year.
If you throw Mata and Depay/Bale (unlikely) on either side of those three it gives us technicality and guile on one wing and raw pace and power on the other. No room in starting 11 for ADM at the moment for me though.

I don't think passion has ever been in question has it? Even when we weren't playing well the players looked like they wanted to work hard so that it got better, and unlike last year we have heard of no unrest in the dressing room. I can't think of many games where I don't think we tried hard, I just don't think the players had connected as a team until recently.

ever since we have been playing 4-3-3 and rvp has been injuried.
it took time to happen but we are finally looking like a team that everyone has been asking for all season.
and the timeing couldn't be more perfect with the run in we have

If he keeps us doing this then I will have no further complaints.
ADM, Falcao, Shaw & Rojo not any significant part of the turnaround either. Just imagine what we could be like if we had spent better in the summer or once they are integrated, no RVP either or a RB.
Pretty much the team that Moyes had aside from Blind. I hope this fast pace play is here to stay because the first half of yesterday and Spurs was awesome.

Agree witH AJH, it's not so long ago we was all calling for fellaini to be sold. A handfull of good games doesn't make him our most important player in my eyes. That's not to say I'm not happy with how he is playing, but I'd rather see him do it for a longer period of time before I class him as undroppable.
