Sky sources are apparently stating we are not interested in Aurier.

I've always seen you as a more reliable source eds, is this a case of sky sources being wrong as usual or are we just not confirming interest in case it the transfer doesn't happen.

Or I'm guessing we've lost interest if in the rare occasion sky is right?

AvidDevil

{Ed025's Note - if utd are interested AD then they are keeping it close to their chest mate, there is nothing this end..

1.) 02 Aug 2017 15:33:18
Utd are keen per Ed002.

{Ed001's Note - from what I am told there is still interest but they are waiting to see as PSG might have to offload on the cheap if Neymar does sign. They would need to recoup a fair wedge.}

2.) 02 Aug 2017 16:04:37
How many Freddos would Aurier cost?

3.) 02 Aug 2017 16:38:31
at least a dozen caramel!

4.) 02 Aug 2017 16:44:29
Probably trying to get people to bet than any actual knowledge. Can understand us waiting because of his court case. If we can also save a couple of million as well then all good.

5.) 03 Aug 2017 19:59:22
Good.

6.) 04 Aug 2017 08:26:53
Ed1
Do you think Aurier would be a good signing for us?

Seems a volatile character.

{Ed001's Note - in terms of ability, he is one of the best full backs around. The problem is he is a complete bell and will be nothing but trouble and cause issues within the squad. If the issues can be managed, then he would be a great signing.}

7.) 04 Aug 2017 08:38:26
We seem to have the same views regards SA. Although I must say Lb is the more pressing issue for us. Any updates on that ed1?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - no mate, I don't know what is happening with regards to that one right now.}

8.) 04 Aug 2017 08:45:18
Any transfers news/ update for us ed?

Regards lb, I think this will be the last chance for Shaw if he wants to play under JM for long. Make or break season for him.

{Ed001's Note - nothing new, though you have employed another scout I know for your academy, so hopefully something more in the future!}

9.) 04 Aug 2017 10:39:09
Cheers ed1
Hopefully some good news in the future. Also ed1 tell him to inform the club you are ready to scout for us (I know you've turned us down before) :-)

{Ed001's Note - hahaha no way, scouts have such a crap job, terrible money and lots of travelling.}

10.) 04 Aug 2017 12:47:20
Where do I sign up? don't mind travel and wages must be better than the 9-5.

{Ed001's Note - wages are not better, that is why only a mad few do it! As for signing up, they come to you mate when it is United. There is a site for jobs in football though, I will see if I can find the link for you and post it up on here when I do, if you are serious.}

Thought I'd join in with the songs as it seems a bit of fun

Goodbye Mr A - The Hoosiers

Goodbye David Moyes, you promised you would help us but you defended too much

Goodbye David Moyes, you had none of the answers and no special touch

Van Gaal has replaced you
Your number is up
His attacking football
Will show you up

AvidDevil

1.) Yes this is my favorite one so far

2.) You really should've rhymed up with cup bro

Well I was on the bus today and picked up the free newspaper to have a read and apparently we are linked with a holding midfielder called Kondogbia who plays for Sevilla.

Does anyone know anything about him or can shed any light on this rumour?

AvidDevil

1.) Playing for France in the U20 world cup, been a season I think in Spain and already linked with Madrid and other big clubs too. Looks very promising but inexperienced from the coupel of games I have seen, similar type to Pogba in fact.
Invisible STuey

2.) Chelsea Fan here in peace Kondogbia has been linked with us and city also who see him has a long term replacement for yaya toure the guy is a tank and oen of the many exciting young talents from the french u21 side he is v good

3.) 27 Jun 2013 17:23:01
Good player, could partner Pogba in the French midfield in years to come.

4.) He's a big lad reminds me of Wanyama, good in the tackle loves to get forward too pretty clumsy at it just now but bags of potential.

5.) Madrid are keen on him, apparently, so looks like we're all going to miss out.

Eds or anyone,
If we did end up selling Rooney would there be a realistic chance of us bidding and getting Falcao? {Ed007's Note - No.}

AvidDevil

1.) Forget falcoe - we can't afford him - he's going to chelsea

Eds as you are the most reliable source,

Would Aurier''s past offences have any legal effect on us signing him?

Cheers.

AvidDevil

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 31 Jul 2017 09:44:33
Apart from him currently not being allowed to enter 🇬🇧.

2.) 31 Jul 2017 17:12:43
OK for away games in Champions league then whilst we rest players.

22 Jul 2017 21:57:17
Ed004 (if you aren't busy),

Reading the page you seem the most invested in Aurier coming to United.

I do like him as a player and want him but don't watch the french league much due to studying unfortunately.

What is it that you see in him and do you think Woodward is working on a deal to bring him to United or is he someone being mentioned just because he's available.

(If this is a stupid question or you're busy I'll take the common advice and scour the page for some tidbits)

AvidDevil

{Ed004's Note - His performances in Europe (especially against English sides) has been very impressive. He's a very powerful player but good technically and a far better crosser than Valencia. He's a very similar style of player to Valencia with the added benefit of being a few years younger. The only concern would be his attitude. It's safe to assume he will leave PSG this summer as they have Munier and probably the best rb around in Alves so he could be purchased at an affordable price. Lastly Ed2 said he will probably be our primary target}

1.) 23 Jul 2017 12:42:58
Maybe we will sign Aurier, move Toni up to RW and knock Perisic on the head, sign griezmann next summer.

2.) 23 Jul 2017 13:51:58
I wish we never sold Rafael.

3.) 23 Jul 2017 14:06:21
Not a bad shout WRD. Not a bad shout at all.

4.) 23 Jul 2017 13:45:01
Cheers Ed much appreciated.

Sounds like a perfect rb for us then and an heir to Tony V.

Mourinho and bad attitudes are always 50/ 50, he either instantly gets rid or the player bucks his ideas up. Could be very interesting.

{Ed004's Note - In his defence I think he kept his head down this season and it passed without incident}

5.) 23 Jul 2017 14:21:06
Thank you Eric, not all will agree but an option perhaps, of course Jose may not be thinking that way in the slightest HA.

6.) 23 Jul 2017 21:36:05
Well Jose will have his views and it will more football educated than dare I say yours or mine. Lots of life left in this transfer window. I don't believe a word Jose says when it comes to incoming transfers. However, he will Look pretty stupid if DDG leaves now.

Quick question ed or anyone knowledgeable,

How are newspapers reporting teams have agreed personal terms with a player before agreeing a fee with a club? Is this not a case of tapping up?

I understand that unofficial talks can take place via an intermediate party or through agents to gauge if they're available. But surely agreeing terms before a fee with a club is against the rules.

I keep reading it with the Morata to United deal that we've agreed terms with him before agreeing a fee with Madrid.

Or is it a case of the papers being a load of bull as per?

AvidDevil

{Ed002's Note - The process should be along the lines of: Clubs will typically informally ask an agent (a) if the player is going to be available, and (b) would the player consider a move to the club. There may be some broad discussion on the sort of deal that would be offered but no more than that. If the answer is yes, it is then necessary for the club to approach the player's club to ask if they would be willing to sell and if they would grant permission to speak to a player's agent formally about a transfer and possibly even the player about actually making a move. This will typically involve either broadly (through an offer) or actually agreeing a fee and responsibility for any significant costs (agents fees etc.). Once this has happened the club will be able to speak to the player's agent and perhaps the player himself to look at the package that will be involved. Many players are looked at and discussed at a high-level with agents and clubs; a subset of those have an offer placed; a subset of those involve discussions with the player's club; a subset of those involve discussions over terms, and; a subset of those go ahead.

Agents will often try and get more specific details of wages and other financials before they should - but most clubs are happy to follow this process. Players will often talk to other players about moves but, whilst wrong, is tolerated as it would be impossible to manage.}

Interesting Tolisso comments saying if an offer from a CL club came in he'd inform Lyon he wanted to move. Been a stand out performer for Lyon this season and I believe highest pass accuracy in the team (although stats never tell the full picture)

Would be a very high quality squad player (apologies beast for the term) and possible starter if he continues to progress like her has. Also he wouldn't break the bank.

Obviously it is silly season and we won't buy every single player who wants a move away as we need to promote from within as well but I reckon this would be a very shrewd signing and would be disappointed if another premier league team signed him because he has bags of potential.

AvidDevil

1.) 02 Jun 2017 11:39:16
I've liked what I have seen of Tolisso. Lots of energy and goals from midfield which is one thing we have been lacking.

2.) 02 Jun 2017 12:08:37
I agree he's a good player but isn't he going to Juve?

3.) 02 Jun 2017 12:21:36
@rjmanutd last I heard it was Chelsea showing the most concrete interest.

Scrolling through the page and listening to Sharkopod galore, Sidibe seems to be highly rated as a rb and a potential target. I was wondering what the eds and others made of Aurier?

2 years left on his contract I believe and possibly was it last year he was banished to the reserves for calling Di Maria a clown which would I guess increase any chance of him moving away?

*as a disclaimer yes this is probsbly not the correct attitude you'd want from a united player but if anyone could kick him into shape it'd be Mourinho.

In all honesty I've only seen him play a handful of times but he's looked a very good prospect when I have been watching.

I'd also give Fosu-Mensah a chance at right back but I'd rather see him in cdm where he seems most suited but that's looking less likely.

AvidDevil

1.) 01 Jun 2017 08:28:04
If what he said about Di Maria is true, then he sounds like a stand up guy. Sign him up!

I'm not opposed to his signing but I'd much prefer a deep lying playmaker in that role instead.

Carrick is the perfect example but obviously 4-5 years younger so he could play every game. We're solid enough now on physical players. A deep lying playmaker to intercept the play and unlock defences from deep would be a better way to go imo.

In a dream world it'd be Toni Kroos but that's never going to happen.
