Frustrating match but credit to united defensively as a whole. Mourinho came with a plan and it was executed. Not a great game at all and I can't quite understand why united fans would complain about Mourinho? He was the difference tonight in getting united the result. Completely disrupted and halted our game. That should be applauded.

i agree with that al, Its what jose does very well.

2.) 17 Oct 2016 23:35:38
Fully agree and happy with the result to be fair.

3.) 18 Oct 2016 00:38:01
Do you know what Jred, i'd say you was half right about tonight's game. We didn't fully go park the bus, but the players Jose picked where more defensively suited. Herrera, what a game he had! Keep it up, him or De Gea s are C material in my eyes! One of thems more dignified then smalling and the other ones got more passion heart and drive than any of the starting 11.

4.) 18 Oct 2016 00:55:46
Is this what it's come to, lads? Happy to park the bus? All the things we used to slag Jose for, when he managed Chelsea. We've very short memories.

5.) 18 Oct 2016 01:06:45

not really but that's 1 game, jose might do that 5 or 6 times a season .
but that's what he is like and he has shown it works.
its a plan b .
but i agree its not great to watch.

Wasn't a search warrant sent out for me when I stated united without Zlatlan basically were toothless up front and would struggle for goals? I also paralled that with aquero and city though their style of play will allow them to adapt without Sergio.
I also still notice pogba being criticised. Mourinho needs to buck up his ideas.

Everything you said is true Al it must be hard for you concentrating on us all the time pal, hopefully your second team can make you happy.

2.) 16 Sep 2016 17:44:47
whos aquero?

3.) 16 Sep 2016 18:55:53
Haha. I'm just pointing out the flaws Simon Of The rivals.

4.) 16 Sep 2016 19:10:10
Sorry I thought you must be a united fan as your so concerned in our business. Not much going on in Merseyside I guess.

11 Sep 2016 12:37:04
Pogbas a shadow of a player when he's stranded in midfield and expected to do everything. Especially when the opposition are In full flow and attacking like city did yesterday. I go on about this on the Liverpool page concerning henderson when we are being attacked. One midfielder cannot plug hole the space and protect the backline especially in the premier league and the pace it's played at. I become infuriated watching henderson get no help of lallana and Wijnaldum when we are on the back foot whilst fans have a go at henderson.
You cannot and should not have expected for pogba to have a decent game yesterday with uniteds set up.

Big Al

{Ed004's Note - I agree. At the minute we seem to have set up the team to get the best out of Rooney, however he isn't our best player anymore and we have quite a few better than him. If we insist on a 4231, then Rooney isn't better than Mata, Pogba or Mkhitarian in behind the striker and isn't better out wide than Martial or Rashford. It gets even worse if we play a 433 which I hope we move to as I can't see where he plays there. I can't see how we can move on without dropping Rooney}

1.) 11 Sep 2016 12:53:39
He'll play midfield with Pogba and Fellaini.

2.) 11 Sep 2016 12:50:08
ed how well do you think miki and pogba played yesterday?
jose plays 4231.

{Ed004's Note - I must be going senial. I thought I'd already replied to this. I thought both were poor yesterday and think Rooney deserves credit for showing some heart and determination. However, I think both those players will be far better than rooney in the longrun}

3.) 11 Sep 2016 13:17:21
Edd004 I've never seen a player be carried for soo long for the name on the back of a football shirt. Big sams comments on rooney plays were he wants for England was laughable and somewhat disgraceful. A player carrying soo much privilege when he's absolutely averagE . Rooney As we knew him retired after the 2010 world cuP. He regresses the teams he's in.

4.) 11 Sep 2016 19:16:11
I've supported Rooney for a long time mostly because of what he has achieved for us and I know despite his lackluster play he has a game changing moment for us still in him. But for us to move on and to have the best out of this team we have now Jose must at least phase him out. I'd like to see a team start without him on Thursday rashford, martial, Herrera, Schneiderlin and Smalling in the first XI employing a high line of defense to get the most out of the speed and energy in the team.

Yall aren't really replying with any relevant and solid content. I'm listening to messi's and ronaldo comparisons to city and united being without aquero and zatlan.

Edd haha you really are trying to get me into trouble.

2.) 20 Aug 2016 21:41:44
Lollll Mr Al are you okay there? .

3.) 20 Aug 2016 23:17:04
Big al i think its going to be yer year.
Didnt ye beat barca.
Surely has to be this year.
No slip ups now.

20 Aug 2016 18:47:15
Hahaha I was wondering why my name was tossed around.
Did you not hear? My post got confused with waros .
ON aquero and zatlan, that doesn't change. Zatlans a big difference for united. He simply has to be fit like aquero. Different threats completely without them.

1.) 20 Aug 2016 19:29:49
Al without rush or king Kenny Liverpool would have won a lot less.
With no messi Barcelona would have won less
Without Ronaldo Madrid would have won less
Take a top scorer out of Any team and they look different.
Stupid point but at least your consistent with silly points😀
2 years ago you told me lallana was the most technically gifted English player of his generation.
You have no credibility after that statement.
😁😁.

2.) 20 Aug 2016 19:57:29
Big Al there is no point trying to say the United is nothing without Zlatan or City without Aquero. That's just trying to say that Liverpool is in good condition and that Sturridge is the best? Don't know why you are not looking at your team and be concerned about their performance and yet so loose with your cynical remarks about other teams! I can understand your frustration but you certainly sound like sour grapes. I suggest you best be concern about what is happening in your own backyard before starting to even worry about others.

3.) 20 Aug 2016 20:43:03
Without "Little Burnley "Liverpool might have 6 points. 😆😆BRILLIANT.

4.) 20 Aug 2016 20:43:28
Firstly ken the only people credible on these pages are the editorsas they especially Edd001 and Edd002 work within the game or have links within the game . Other editors might to, so no disrespect to them. Respect to all editors on the site.
Secondly I only ever share my opinions and once in a while will wind up the United fans which clearly you experienced.

Red weres the sour grapes mate? United only bought zatlan as recognised quailty striker. Who scored the goals last season? United were dried up I seem to recall up front. We all know how limited rooney is. You've a few young promising players but zatlan without doubt is your main attacking threat, without him yall are back to last season. This is quite simple. United and city are no Barcelona or real Madrid were they have two or three top class players to come in. If aquero and zatlan become injured both will struggle.
Lfc played without sturridge our no1 striker last week and destroyed arsenal because we have other players who will perform, firminho, coutinho, mane. Sturridge is only back from injury. Today was just a disjointed performance and dire defensive display. Bad day at the office but I still stand by my comments. Lfc Imo have far more attacking options than city and united.

5.) 20 Aug 2016 20:52:53
I assumed they were typos but looking at the Liverpool page you genuinely think these two players are called Zaltan and Aquero, so sorry Jig Ol but you just sound bitter mate.

'Liverpool have far more attacking options than United and city'. There are some deluded people out there but that puts you up there with the best. Martial, miki, Rooney, rashford, Zlatan, lingard, Memphis, Mata. I'm utterly confused by your comments, but you keep standing by them.

6.) 20 Aug 2016 21:00:55
No doubt lallana is faster, stronger and more skillful than pogba he'd pick pogba off every time. He's after all the world's best cruyff turner

7.) 20 Aug 2016 21:00:10
Gds2 I'm referring to players who will score goalsin double digits . You've named me seven who i don't think scored 20 between them. This is precisely my point?

8.) 20 Aug 2016 21:14:14
Alot of typos
On lallana I've also made my feelings clear for nearly two years now. Maybe you should read them mate. I think he's out of his depth especially in midfield And the forward line.
Pogba I've said was and is a fantastic midfielder on both pages.

9.) 20 Aug 2016 21:18:41
What you smoking Al? How many did ibra score last year? Or martial? Or mkhitaryan?

10.) 20 Aug 2016 21:20:26
Origi has scored how many al?
Mane? Ings? Lallana? Firmino? Couts? Who are you m your better options. Come back in may when your options have ripped up the league 😂😂😂 it's early days and for sure Liverpool will have plenty of better days than today but they won't have enough good days to win the league or finish top 4.

11.) 20 Aug 2016 21:21:43
By the way, last season you had one player who scored double digits in the league, firmino with an impressive 10.

12.) 20 Aug 2016 22:40:25

Don't let the facts get in the way of his 'winding up' which I presume this is. Nobody is that deluded.

I agree on matic being the the current buy of the summer. I couldn't believe Chelsea sold him especially to a rival aswell.
Salah may take that spot come the end of the season however ;) no bias from me on matic though. I think he's been outstanding and was a superb buy for United unfortunately.
on ox. I'm not a fan of the player that's for sure. His price I think many can criticise, that's fair enough but he'll make a possibly excellent utility player. I do expect klopp to improve his game. He took a significant wage cut and chose us over the champions Chelsea so there is clearly a player who wants to succeed at Liverpool and that's always a plus.

On klopp he clearly has his faults. One of them illegally approaching players that has made a certain to be Liverpool player possibly a Chelsea or elsewhere player in van dijk. If we fail to sign van dijk there's no owners or club to blame. Just klopp on that one. Also it looks as though he wants a top midfielder in. Keita would be an excellent buy but even that's looking unlikely. His club don't want to sell. So if the window ends with no further incoming players and especially those targets missed out I can't see us having really improved. Our backline is just criminal to be honest. It's not acceptable at a club like Liverpool to have mignolet in goal. Again klopp bought karius who made a few blunders and pulled him out. BTW karius distribution was top class. Sadly he's no confidence in the lad and we're back to problem 1. De gea was a mistake waiting to happen when he first played for United but was given time to truly excel. Karius hasn't.

On the coutinho fee? No I'm not surprised nor even upset at all that we've said no. I've become extremely desensitised to player fees since van dijk was priced at 60 million and fans thought it was reasonable. Same as lukakus and neymars fee. To me it's like monopoly money at this stage. On whether we should sell him as yall think it's fantastic? Absolutely not. It's of no advantage for us to sell at this stage. there's no one available to replace him and that money means nothing in respect to our transfer dealings. Southampton and keitas club don't want to sell so what does coutinhos transfer have to do with that? Plus we have money to spend. We don't need it. Coutinhos our best player and is flourishing into a truly great player. If Barcelona offer 150 I still don't want to sell him definitely not this window anyway.
