Make sure you have plenty of alcohol in tomorrow guys. It will numb the pain lol.

On the positive side we will be above the bottom 3 no matter what.

Do you think with the crazy transfer fees paid now you will see a lot more player + cash exchanges now guys/ eds?

CTR

{Ed002's Note - No, there are issues with trying to do business on that basis but you might see a slight increase.}

1.) 10 Oct 2019 20:33:14
Chris i have been saying the same but there are so many factors that require alignment between clubs players agents etc that it must be difficult.

2.) 10 Oct 2019 21:02:03
I don't doubt it is pal I just don't see another way to do deals for high profile players.

3.) 10 Oct 2019 20:00:16
Surely something has to happen though. The fees are going crazy high.

{Ed002's Note - That is because of the amount of money in the English game and for a few other sides across Europe. The impact of the UK leaving the EU could significantly increase costs for the English sides as the GBP collapses further.}

Hello Eds,

Hope you're well. I was hoping you could give me any insight if the club are actually considering sacking Ole. I appreciate this has probably been gone over many times before.

CTR

{Ed002's Note - Yes and there are numerous coaches who could do the job perfectly well but the club, should they need to, will have to think about availability, cost, desire etc. They also need to think about the level of risk there would be involved. Laurent Blanc is available, knows the club, is very good dealing with players and his overseers - and has the perfect skill set to get the club back on its feet. Quique Setien is available but there is a reason he would likely not be viable.

It is easy to argue that Max Allegri could do a good job, but he has been messed around in the past by Manchester United and it would take some persuading. Simeone could do the job but would not be interested. Carlo Ancelotti could do a fine job but wouldn't leave Napoli for Manchester United. Erik ten Hag is another who would do a fine job but has a job waiting elsewhere when he wants the move and I cannot see him being interested in Manchester United.

Pochettino would certainly be of interest and first choice but perhaps rather more expensive than the club is willing to pay. Any negotiations over the cost would be a struggle.

1.) 09 Oct 2019 21:31:19
Thanks Ed.

Blanc has been mentioned a few times over the years but other than psg does he have any mangerial credentials to take over this Manchester United team?

A guy I speak to raves about this German coach I think from leverkusen or gladbach. I'll be honest I've never really seen his teams close up but he goes on about him a lot lol.

Poch would be high on my list but you're right he's expensive unless spurs sack him lol.

The Ajax coach would make me excited but rumours going around he could be Everton bound although not from very reliable people I'll add.

Again thanks for the reply.

Change of subject. I want to talk about the new guys. I love how they have come in and instantly upgraded the positions. Maguire looks a really solid buy and once Axel forces Lindelof out I think the partnership there could be something really workable.

Awb is quality and is the best signing post fergie imo.

I love Dan James appetite for the game. Once we have a more competitive attack he will really shine imo.

In the downside Rashford, Lindelof and Shaw (who I don't rate anyway) have really regressed imo.

Great to see you back CTR.

I agree Alex looks classy, unfortunately I also agree there has been squad regression. Rashy looks shot of confidence, he needs a few goals.

2.) 09 Oct 2019 20:12:26
I just don't think Rashford is a striker. If he works hard he could be a mane type wide player mate.

3.) 09 Oct 2019 20:47:05
I agree on maguire and especially AWB.

On dan james i don't think he has or will ever possess the technical capabilities to be a week in week out starter for a team that has aspirations of challenging for top honours. He has immense pace and agility but they can be easily thwarted against teams that sit back in a low block which has happened many times already this season. As a squad player hell be fine.

4.) 09 Oct 2019 21:16:33
I think once he has more quality around him you will see him have more space. Atm teams just need stop him and they stop our threat.

5.) 10 Oct 2019 07:11:17
Dan James is a great asset in our armory for counter attack. His finishing is decent too.
He is just 21. I see a bright future for him because of his commitment, hard work and down to earth nature.

6.) 10 Oct 2019 09:23:11
Alright, Chris. Glad to see you back, mate. Hope you got things sorted. Well, as best you can anyway.

7.) 10 Oct 2019 09:50:18
Cheers pal. How are you?

8.) 10 Oct 2019 10:32:11
Like yourself, mate. A few difficulties over the last wee while. Still some bad days, but a few more good days than before. Nearly 20 years of dealing with other people's problems finally caught up with me. But I can always come on here for therapy 😂.

So I see today the club has actually been linked to Nagelsmann.

This guy is my first choice and although I accept its just paper talk I'm hoping the club are seriously looking into a change of manager.

Nagelsmann fits the bill for me. Has there been any word of the club actually looking to replace Ole or are we in this cycle for the a while yet?

CTR

{Ed002's Note - Nagelsmann has only just moved clubs and I very much doubt there would be any interest in him from MU.}

1.) 09 Oct 2019 18:58:35
Yes I see that mate. It's more wishful thinking on my part that actual links lol. Thanks for the reply.

Although my only hope is the way in which he messed around at hoffenhiem when bayern were looking at him.

2.) 10 Oct 2019 07:13:27
He is my ideal choice as well CTR along with Poch.
He has modern ideas with a blend of attacking football and flexible tactics.

That United blood in you coming out mate.

CTR

{Ed001's Note - erm. Somehow I doubt that. If there was any of that in me me ma would have crucified me as a child. Me mate gave me a Wolves shirt once as a present. It was a proper team shirt like, as replicas weren't something you bought then in the early 80s when I was in primary school. She burnt it.}

I love the fact that any spainsh player/ manager first thoughts are "right get this contract signed, then tell ballbag all the info"

They move very well from side to side. I do think the goals could dry up though. They rely a lot in their striker dropping in and helping overload the center.

It does open up space for Saka and Martinelli to run into but it's a lot to ask to relatively young forwards to keep scoring every game to win it.

Arsenal remind me a lot of the Liverpool team under Rodgers. Momentum and ability is pushing them over the line.

They seem to score goals in flurries and if they get on top in a game they can suffocate you.

A very good team and the morale seems through the roof.

4-0 loss for me. This team has shown time and time again when the chips are down they bottle it.

I really hope I'm wrong.

He politely kind of shrugged it off by saying he needs more experience in the role.

Don't worry I'm sure we will go for the vastly expirenced Darren Fletcher lol.
