Any truth in the Kenedy bid. Anyone know if he genuinely has what it takes or just another "The next Neymar".

I hope we go for him and atart investing in promising youth for the future.

2.) 06 Mar 2015 11:27:27
Is he the "new kenedy" or the "old kenedy who is the new neymar"? I hope it's the one who's the new kenedy as I don't rate the old one. We should have finger on the pulse for this.

Not counting my chickens until he has that red shirt on his back. but. given the choice who would you rather have. Believable for MATA or unbelievable for OZIL. Genuine answers please. MATA for me, Mourinho is a fool to let him go

Captain Marvel 7

1.) Agreed I just cannot believe jm let him go, easily chelskis best player, I just can't see a flaw in him

Just heard on local radio in Wigan that it is expected Powell will be back with us in January. Hope so. I am sure he won't play every match but he might just give us that lift, something a little different and make a difference just like Januzai did when he got his chance.

Guardiola to City. Who next for us then?

Captain Marvel 7

1.) 01 Feb 2016 13:30:49
I think this is very scary. Pep now officially gone and United appearing to do nothing about the damage being done by LvG. Not my choice but it seems if we don't go for Mourinho, we have very few options.

2.) 01 Feb 2016 13:29:39
A guy called Hubris N. Memories. Because we think we are better than the results show and our on pitch success will be from five years ago.

3.) 01 Feb 2016 13:36:38
I think we will see Mourinho come in. The board clearly don't fully back LVG as seen by the lack of activity this month. I also think Chelsea's next manager will be Sampaoli - It'll be a very interesting year. Of course, who says Pep will be a success? Will his tactics work in this league and will he get all the players he wants?

4.) 01 Feb 2016 13:47:54
Has anyone seen Red Man.

Red Man,

Are you ok fella?

5.) 01 Feb 2016 14:00:39
Bad news, but better for all involved to get it now. I do think Pep will get the players he wants. For the moment, it does a look a big step forward for City.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". There goes any love we had for Pep.

6.) 01 Feb 2016 14:17:10
Don't forget what our esteemed ex-Ed002 mentioned a while back. Max Allegri. That's where my £5 has gone for next United manager.

I am fine thank you, I saw the news and took a step back.

Our club has got itself in a right mess, looks to me like a bit of arrogance, Liverpool circa 1990, thinking we would just carry serenely on and nothing would change. It has now backfired, spectacularly and as I have said a few times they need to get this next move right or it will be obscurity for years whilst City put their club up with Barcelona and Real. Brought it all on ourselves, now it's Woodward's decisions that deserve utmost scrutiny.

8.) 01 Feb 2016 14:48:53
city look to be building something .
not sure what's going on at united.

9.) 01 Feb 2016 20:59:51
I can't even think let alone comment. It is the news I've been dreading for months and now it is confirmed. I have to say, I'm surprised Pep has chosen City. He has managed two of the top teams in the world with massive fan base and as much admiration I have for City and their owners, they will never have that standing in world football.
If he had come to United and acted miracles, then his reputation as the best coach would have been enhanced.
Having said that, if I was Pep and saw the stability ato city and the turmoil and complete lack of direction and lack of footballing ambition at United, then I, Ightfield have made the same decision.
I think there is a big division and infighting going on inside United with board members disagreeing amongst themselves, and that is holding the club back. We're allowing the schister that is Woodward actually run the club. And we've already seen that he's not got one decision right so far.
So, are we going to sit and do nothing apart from securing, ore financial deals and asking for 15% cuts, or are the owners, the board and the management actually going to get together and finally try to turn the club around? Because at the moment, we're on a major downward spiral and heading into nowhere. This could take years to solve and especially as City, Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and even the scousers are improving their staff and clubs.
Have we really sunk this low that our top brass can't even see what's staring them in the face.

In Rooney interview he says that players have to take responsibility aswell as mamager for poor performances. He then said that LVG allowed them to play with more freedom against Derby and that we could see the players enjoyed it and we played well and scored 3. So, for the other games LVG must be restricting what the players can and can't do and they obviously don't want to do that and don't enjoy it. So why is he doing this? Scared to lose, doesn't think players up to it, protecting a weak back four. I have no idea, be interesting how we play in the next few games.

Pep about to give an indication about where he will spend his future and Jose sacked, coincidence? I think Utd will be on the phone to Jose ASAP to take over from LVG. I think he will do this at the end of the season but will be waiting in the wings incase our poor run continues. The end of the season will give Jose time out and let the matter with Chelsea remove itself from the headlines. Is he the right man? I don't know but i would swap him for LVG.

I can understand why LVG was appointed. Utd were scared of another Liverpool scenario and players snubbing us. They brought in a big name from the few who were available who they knew would attract players. He did the job initially but is now struggling. The board, owners, Ferguson etc. will not be happy with results and more importantly the way we now play. I believe they have the balls to make big decisions and that is to appoint a new manager, maybe in the new year, maybe next season. I am sure Ancelloti will have been spoken to as it is obvious he is interested. Pep saying his future will be clear next week but i don't even think we are interested and i am happy with that because i think he is a bit of a gamble with our squad. I can see Neville even coming in in a few years to replace Ancelloti with Giggs remaining number two unless he is adamant he want to be number one but i think that will be elsewhere.

still think conte is well in the running after the euros- saf mate?

2.) 16 Dec 2015 12:44:03
If Pep goes to city we might as well give up.

3.) 16 Dec 2015 12:53:34
Schmid,

Like when Pedro signed for Chelsea you mean? ;)

It would be a disaster for United if Pep goes to City, a game changer.

5.) 16 Dec 2015 13:44:15
Red Man,

I agree, been saying it for a while, I think if he goes to City they win the Champions League within 3 years, I was just having a bit of fun as a few on here said we should give up when Pedro signed for Chelsea.

6.) 16 Dec 2015 14:55:56

I know. I admit to frustration, how many times did I post before SAF retired that we needed to remember McGuiness and the poor transition from Busby, yet here we are 2.5 years on from SAF and floundering. I think people have their head in the sand about this and probably think Giggs is a good option. City have built an infrastructure we haven't got and built it to just add Pep to the top and they will be dominant.

7.) 16 Dec 2015 16:20:27
Flip sake, I can't believe nobody on the board hasn't been reading your posts over the last 2.5 years, Red Man :)

8.) 16 Dec 2015 19:40:36
Ha Stevie, and here is me thinking they were taking notes :-)

LVG. " We are getting better ". We should be for the amount of time he has been here and the money he has spent. The team couldn't be any worse than last year. He basis everything on Stats but that just doesn't work. It would help if he was a likeable person but he is the opposite, arrogant, bullish. The Europa league will only be a negative for us and getting top four aswell. Please Santa can we have a new manager, i will be a very good boy!

The problem is you don't want to sign a top striker and stall Wison's progress, however, Welbeck has gone, RVP is very poor and i can't see him getting back to his best and i can't see Falcao playing regular or being signed permanently. So looking at that yes we need someone, but who ?

SteerMaria, are u saying Wilson isn't good enough yet or isn't good enough. He is class and will be a Utd great, has speed, runs with the ball and a natural goal scorer. He did more in 10mins y'day then RVP has in his last two games.

I think Buttner will remain at the club if Evra is going unless he wants more starting time. I don't think he would be a bad back up. The alternative would be having to buy another LB, can't see that

Agree with your post mate but if Jose wants to be the manager and has said he wants to get back into football ASAP, its the perfect fit. He will have a stress free season with no expectations and can only do better than LVG. He can assess the squad, which players need to go, which need to stay, which need to be loaned, which of the young lads have a chance etc. I personally think he will stay for longer than that and will maybe leave to manage a team in the American league or something a bit different. I think LVG should get a story together about leaving the club as he won't want to be sacked. Yes he has had a long injury list but he has bought poor players and let players go who should have stayed.

I think it will be Moyes all over again, LVG will go once we mathematically cannot get 4th unless we have got a chance of Europa. What point would there be in keeping him otherwise. The club will not be concerned about it being LVG's last job. Mourinho should come in ASAP so he has a few games to start assesing the squad before the summer buying and selling.

Sorry jred, Billy Smith from the Dog and Duck under 16's is also available Ha! I don't think there are any other managers we would contemplate who would be up to the job. I don't know why considering my previous rants at Mourinho but i am excited at the prospect of him. Keep watching sky sports and going on websites hoping for news of an emergency meeting. Really interesting to see giggs on the touchline for so long. I think that was his way of sayimg enough is enough if you won't encourage the lads and try to help them i will. I can see a big ding dong between them if he stays. Feel sorry for giggs he must be biting his lip.
