Mata is a good signing IMO, however, all this talk of future formations involving Rooney are probably a waste of time, My feeling is He's gone come summer.

Enjoyed the game, Rooneylooked sharp, bit surprised Fellaini was taken off early as it invited more pressure in the later stages that lead to a goal that flattered Bayer to be honest, however, pleased for Moyes.
Hope Valencia gains confidence from the goal, it looked like it meant a lot.
More good points than bad I think.

Fair play to the lads a good win over a good Swansea side. However, still a lot of work to do in midfield. A lot of posts arguing that the score says it all but I think it papers over some cracks. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved a more attacking set up, but I can't argue with 4 goals away from home.
Rooneys body language was awful but loved the away fans gave him support. Showed class. Showed the way Utd should behave even if Rooney doesn't! Seriously though, Giggs should not be playing and our midfield would struggle against any of the top 6 teams which is a worry for the next few games.
Glad of the win, but let's not get too carried away
1.) Why would united struggle against so called top six sides below us mate did we not win easy last season with same team by 11 points and all bought overatted players come on its more about asquad of players that gell together not players who just go city Chelsea for the money
2.) No name, Chelsea under achieved last year and make no mistake they will be a lot lot better this season. As for Citeh they have signed very good players. Jotevic a very good player, Negrado will score and Navas is lightning quick. They will be much better this season. United need 1 if not 2 CM, especially if we have any ambitions in Europe

Good to see Rooney make an appearance, thought his body language was still a bit dodgy but great to hear the fans giving him support. Credit to Moyes, thought it looked a little journeyman before kick off but it worked so fair play! Hope he is a little more adventurous at home though.

This is justnan opinion but Just feel something's happening we don, t know about, I find it hard to believe Woodward only returned from Oz to handle the Fabregas saga. (or the mess that it has become) whatever though, the negative posts are doing no one any favours except make us Utd supporters seem like a bunch of spoilt Fifa dreaming brats. Time to inject a little excitement and positivity into the mix I think. It's the start of a new season, Thank God for that, no more Cricket! No more sat at home on a weekend when I could be at the match watching United. A privalidge that not everyone can do. So come on guys, get a bloody grip.

Think Moyes is being too conservative here, he obviously doesn't want to lose his first prem game in charge, but I would have loved to have seen Kagawa instead of Giggs and a more Ballsier team set up.

It was the ONLY positive Syd. Just gutted that Moyes hasn't, t got the balls to play Kagawa more, and yes, with Mata too, now that would be good to see and would also concentrate more attacks through the middle.
Yeah, just posted something similar, feel like I'm defending the indefensible in Moyes. If this was one of my businesses and my workforce suffered from the same lack of morale and team ethics and support for each other I would be questioning the management
We are toothless, totally out of confidence and have a lack of teamwork which is unheard of, too many times we are trying the channels and not the middle, we are shot. Something is terribly wrong, the body language is shocking as is the display.
If I could see what Moyes was trying to do I would have sympathy and patience, unfortunately I can't see it.

That's a really good point, can they rely on day trippers to fill the stadium against the weaker European tems? I don, t think they can.
