I heard we are offering Real madrid 65m plus de gea for bale. Its newspaper talk but can anyone shed some light.

Yes, this is completely true and will be completed on deadline day.

2.) 29 Aug 2015 15:14:19
Just got back from Gareths Spanish lessons. 100% true. He was even wearing his Man Utd boxers.

I have been hearing a lot of rumours lately regarding Schweinsteiger coming to united for a fee around 10-15 million. This all seems unlikely to me considering he joined up with the Bayern youth team back when he was 14. I'm assuming he has had a fair amount of offers to join various other teams but he has stuck with Bayern which makes me wonder why he would possibly end his career with United instead of Bayern. Maybe this is just my response. So what i'm asking is anyone else feel the same or do you think he will end up at united.

I honestly don't think Pep rates him and although I'd still be happy if he joined, I'd prefer any of Gundogan, Pogba or Schneiderling.

LVG managed Schweinsteiger at Bayern and I recall he changed him from a left winger to the central midfield role that he has excelled in. That trust in how he developed and LVG's Role in his development may mean he would like to play for him again. Alternatively he might just spy a pay rise when he is no longer first choice at his club. LVG knows his abilities but at 30 he is only a very short term measure anyway , assuming there is any truth in the rumour

3.) 24 May 2015 11:25:30
I don't think it would be a bad signing for his age, Michael Carrick is 33 and still excels in what he does. I would be more than happy to take Schweinsteiger on if he can maintain his level of playing for 3 years.

lvg tried to sell him and fell out with the board over it ,

5.) 24 May 2015 13:16:16

Cheers, If there had been a fall out then you wonder whether he would consider playing for LVG again.

it was a strnage thing , i don't think there was a fall out lvg said at the time they should sell him to chelsea " as it is a good offer and my teams always make money for the business"

I heard an incredibly stupid rumour that Pep Guardiola was assessing the managerial status at Manchester United and Manchester City. I don't believe this because it would be stupid to get rid of Van Gaal now considering he has only had one season. I just wanted these rumours to be confirmed as false.

Think he's said in the past that he'd like to manage United in the future. I think what these rumours are hinting at is that he is looking at the possibility of taking over after Van Gaal, maybe not straight away. I think he knows that if he ever managed City, he'd unlikely be able to switch to United after.

So are we going to try and buy Marco Reus or are we going to go for someone who doesn't want to play for there team and go for Juan Mata click believable if u think we will go for Reus or click unbelievable if u think we will go for Mata

Gingernut

{Ed004's Note - What do we do for neither? Being realistic I can't see either happening}

1.) We won't get either.

2.) Neither of these are realistic. We will be lucky to get one real first team player in, and if we do it's most likely to be a left back or hopefully a creative central midfielder. Koke, Herrera or someone like that would fit the role Giggs played against Leverkusen, or alternately, someone like Guarin could partner Carrick instead, using powerful runs forward to help open defences.

A winger would be great, but I can't see one being prioritized over a left back or partner for Carrick.

3.) Id take any but can't see either! If we don't make any significant signings we won't be finishing in the top four.

4.) I would be very surprised with either! I can't really see Chelsea wanting to deal with us after the Rooney debacle and its not like Mata hasn't got loads of suitors he would walk into most teams, and I would be over the moon with Reus but cannot see it.
I do think we will go for a left back as its desperate there at the moment and I hope a CM maybe a loanee or stop gap until summer when we can go for bigger targets.

Dani Alves, Bastian Schweinsteiger now I know your age is just a number but there is a point at which every footballer starts to go in to decline and I'm not sure if going for the older players is the best choice. I'm not denying these specific players talents as they obviously aren't imaginary but shouldn't we go for medium aged players with age and to some extent experience on their side?

Gingernut

1.) 26 May 2015 01:28:56
At least at their age, they'll not want to go and play for RM or Barca, once they've had their fill of us. Beast will be happy.

2.) 26 May 2015 07:02:36
If they have still lot to offer and won't cost us much. I will happily sign them

3.) 26 May 2015 07:18:04
Schweini if available is a must. Alves on the other hand, we should stay clear of him.

4.) 26 May 2015 07:34:16
He is very good right back and offensively miles better than Valencia.

5.) 26 May 2015 07:48:09
Alves if signed for appropriate wages can give us 2 more good years . I won't be able to see Valencia playing LB again

6.) 26 May 2015 08:01:46
Sorry ! meant to say RB

Hey edd I heard apparently Southampton were planning to make a 70m bid for Zaha Young and Hernandez, I also heard that Juventus are interested in Hernandez possibly Hernandez plus cash for Vidal.

Gingernut

{Ed002's Note - Have you been playing on Twitter?}

1.) In what world are those three worth anywhere near £70m?

Hernandez is worth somewhere in the region of £10m, Young around £8m and Zaha £6m. I'd be amazed if they sold for £30m!

I think 260,000 a week would obviously attract Toni Kroos but are we seriously willing to give him that much

Gingernut

1.) Could be above 300,000 after the World Cup

2.) Wayne rooney gets 300k a week, need I go on?

15 May 2013 22:07:36
in
bale
lewandowski
baines

out
rooney
nani
anderson

i think this would be a good improvement if u disagree tell me why and what u think is going to happen {Ed004's Note - We would need a midfielder maybe 2 this summer especially if Anderson goes as Scholes just retired and Fletcher has injury problems}

Gingernut

1.) Don't forget we have Powell
Dylan {Ed004's Note - Who has played what? Maybe 3 times for the first team this year. I'm hoping he gets games next year but Moyes only gave Barkley a couple this year. I reckon Powell needs a loan to a premiership side who play good football. Maybe Villa or Swansea but he would need to have garunteed game time imo}

2.) Evra buttner fabio & Baines I make that 3/4 left backs.
Love your ins (hope that comes off)
Dylan

3.) Powell off to hull season long loan

4.) Pogba did the same but look how he's come on this season full international call up and probably stated 12/16 times at juventus
Dylan

The only way I can see Muller coming to united is if he wants to and he doesn't seem like he will be leaving Bayern to soon.

I honestly think ronaldo wouldn't mind going back to mufc but mufc can't afford him and other players and real madrid wouldn't sell him where as we could buy cheaper players but more of them to build a better squad than just one person
