Just remember Roberto Di Mateo at Chelsea and what he achieved.

Anything is possible.

"and Solskjaer has won it" Oh how I would love to hear those words again.

Imagine that shappy, us in a CL final and lukaku looks like a lost puppy to the extent that Ole says feck it I will win this myself and subs himself on in the 89th minute.

Mort I didn't say it was ok, just telling you how it is.

Football is a business and a very lucrative one at that in the top tier. you can't begrudge them wanting to make a fortune, just because you don't like it

As I said, just because they care more for the money than the football does not make them bad businessmen.

Ed002 is correct in everything he/ she says, we don't understand the business, so we moan constantly because the owners make fortunes.

If you want to change it, find a few billion quid and make them an offer they can't refuse.

Then run the club in your best interests. Mind you there will be a Mort mark 2 who will come on here and say you are ruining the club because you won't do exactly what they want.

I said they were good businessmen and they are. They have managed to take a billion out of the club, hike up it's value and when they come to sell will make a couple of billion in profit and they have done this without investing in the stadium or any of their own money.

Just because they don't do what you want, while still raking it in does not make them bad businessmen.

It's all about the profit and they are making a fortune with very little effort or involvement.

Absolutely Mort.

Bought a team, leveraged it, so they spent very little of their own money and are raking in millions per year and when they sell will probably make a couple billion in profit.

I think that qualifies as pretty good business acumen.

Right, but at the moment they are still raking in millions a year, while this is possible with this squad or set up, they won't change. and why would they

Spend silly money on silly players to maximise revenue, where United finish is of no interest to them, until it starts to affect the bottom line, at the moment it isn't, so Woodward gets to carry on, bringing in sponsors, some really laughable sponsors and the Glazers rake it in.

They are superb businessmen and you cannot fault them for that.
But they are in the business to make money and that doesn't come from attendance at games. and you can't blame them for that. we can't say they haven't renivested, as they have spent millions on players. just not the right players for the right reasons.

They are not sports people, they are buying companies, reaping as much as they can, then getting rid.

If United fans want a glimpse of the future, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, guys.

For my part I am happy City won.

They have been a great team this year and I have enjoyed watching them play.

They dominated the game today and I think they are one of the best teams to grace the premier League.

I am not one for tribalism, so I am happy to admit I am glad the best team in the country won. everything.

I remember the abuse well.

I went to a few away games they following season and the bile and hatred was terrible. I mean there is no need to start on his family at all, or him to be quite frank. He did well to cope and I think handled it very well, which made a lot of people respect him afterwards.

Thanks for the article interesting read.

FZZ I agree with you.

Get rid and start again.

Every building needs a good foundation and we simply don't have that.

I would be fine of we didn't challenge for a few years and rebuild.

I don't really bother myself with the money side of things, it's vile how much money is involved and money corrupts, which is what has happened to the game.

We need look no further than Sepp Blatter to see the corruption up close.

Let Ole clear those that don't want to be here anymore go, get rid of the dead wood and start again.

Our noisy neighbours did it ovet a decade and now Liverpool are doing it too.

We should do the same.
