Extremely good result for you boys the other night. I was actually happy to see English teams hopefully give a good account for themselves this year and it has started well apart from My team drawing 2-2 but in a bigger picture Sevilla are a very decent European team it was basically the 4th finishing team from the premier league team vs the 4th finishing La Liga team the fans and our page are just ridiculous in thinking we have a god given right to be anyone in europe its embarrassing I`ll take that point.

anyway moving on I actually watched the United game and you boys at 1-0 up looked fantastic played them off the park, only downside is Pogba injury, I really do think you should put Miki in the box to box role he could be goals galore in there and be an assist king he has the work rate to do it and the technical guile to play in the 10 role.

Kloppers

The majority of us prefer Mhkitaryan to play in the 10 position. I think it's mainly down to not having a toonRW available for Mourinho.

2.) 14 Sep 2017 12:02:38
How annoying. A pleasant post from a Liverpool poster. Can you give me something to get resentful about. I'd be all over it. I'll start it off, don't buy any defenders or a goalkeeper. They are doing a grand job.

3.) 14 Sep 2017 12:05:28
And Kenny Dalgleish was rubbish. Not for enough to lace Peter Davenports or Ralph Milne's (rip) boots.

4.) 14 Sep 2017 13:45:50
Give lovren a long term deal please, but on the real your forward game is brilliant, just missing a decent CF as firminio looks like he'd make a better tranny.

5.) 15 Sep 2017 06:15:04
lol, jwalk Firmino has prob been Liverpools best player so far :D.

Liverpool Fan in peace,

I am pretty happy with that draw what about you lot? trip to Russia will be a pain in the ass mid week for both teams but a decent draw out there would be a good result I`d think. Moving onto other stuff with Ibra I was extremely surprised that you signed him up for another year I can see why he does get goals and can do special things in a moment but saying that I find it strange and potentially could block the path of others trying to get game time in attack, I honestly thought you lot where trying to go for an attacking winger in the Persisic mold whens Ibra back like right away or not until Christmas?

Pointless talking to that Manc mob about European football Kloppers, they are just minnows.

2.) 25 Aug 2017 11:06:20
Kloppers,

A shame your post was ruined by the troll. THe Russian trip is a bit of a pain obviously but like you say if we can get a point over there then we should be ok. Moscow and Benfica away in the first 3 games means that we could be in a tricky position going into the 2nd half of the group, but I would expect our home form to see us through to be honest.

Nobody sure about Zlatan but I would suggest he will be back in a month or 2, not sure if he is training with the players yet but it seems like he never really left, just wasn't being paid.

3.) 25 Aug 2017 11:21:29
Mighty reds you're embarrassing yourself here pal. Kloppers, I think we have to be quite happy. Both sides could have had a much tougher draw, on paper both united and Liverpool should top the groups. Also I think Ibra was signed to give the guy a chance to get fit again, play some games whilst bolstering the squad. I think we are probably looking at one more signing however whether we can get that remains to be seen. What about Liverpool, reckon coutinho is staying? I certainly hope not lol!
Caolán
P. S it's also nice to see someone actually trying to have a decent conversation rather than using the same horrible "banter".

4.) 25 Aug 2017 11:39:55
Kloppers - I'm not surprised about the Ibra deal because I think Jose is going to keep playing like we did last season, only with a stronger spine and a bit more fluidity. Relying on moments of magic. Zlatan is more than capable of filling in. He doesn't trust Rashford or Martial to play as the lone striker because the way we play requires maturity, discipline and patience in that role and it's a very lonely furrow.

I think the Perisic thing isn't going to happen (thank God), that would be a deal that would hamper our current players development and worse would scupper the Griezmann deal imo. I don't mind younger players missing out if they are replaced with genuine quality, not the slightly younger version of Ashley Young. If he was linked with Everton, Stoke or West Ham it would make more sense.

I also think you guys are going to sign Costa, let's see what happens.

5.) 25 Aug 2017 12:00:04
Caolan_2 I`m not to sure on Pipco you shouldn't sell your best players but with what's come out with the transfer request mysterious illness it feels like he is refusing to play if that is the case then I would rather take the 100+ Million then rather have a bad apple in the team what's the point in paying him 150k a week to rot doesn't make sense but then is there enough time to identify targets to fill his void ignoring the people we have signed. this transfer window has been an embarrassment to the club, the tapping up etc I just can`t believe Klopp has been that stupid shows you he is a child in a mans body at times I do like the way we play tho does make it exciting to watch.

we would of had VVD done if the club acted properly

Mighty red please shut up you are embarrassing yourself and Liverpool fans.

6.) 25 Aug 2017 12:36:18
Beast, what Griezmann deal?

7.) 25 Aug 2017 12:45:01
The one where we sign him because their ban no longer applies and they can replace him.

We have needed a top class wide player for years, if Jose hasn't addressed this issue this window then it can only mean we are waiting for somebody to become available in my eyes. We can't be that incompetent and we need to make a statement in the market because of the "Brand".

If Griezmann isn't a Utd player by this time next summer I'd be amazed.

8.) 25 Aug 2017 14:41:14
Beast. Greizman does not play on the wing. If we wanted a wide player who can score, then Sanchez will be the obvious one but failing that, Perisic or Lemar will also be a good addition.

9.) 25 Aug 2017 16:35:44
Be an interesting end to the window for Liverpool kloppers! Can I ask what're your views on klopp? He plays good attacking football but hasn't sorted out the main problems that have held the team back, goalkeeper and defence. Obviously you have tried with VvD and that may still happen, but thus far hasn't due to the managers actions. I was wondering are there more Liverpool fans who are starting to judge klopp on results and trophies etc or is he still getting a bit of a free ride from the fans? Big season for him imo, needs to win something. The same way Jose needs a title push!
Caolán.

10.) 25 Aug 2017 20:34:04
Beast I agree on Greizzman. I think it's very likely we'll go back once the ban is lifted.

Liverpool fan in peace congratulations on the win yesterday great to have 5 teams in the champions league we need all the co efficient points we can get don't want to lose that spot to Italy.

17 Mar 2017 00:54:12
Liverpool fan in peace don't shoot. I watched the game tonight and just want to get united fans opinion on a couple things. you guys really should of won this one 5-6 nil, but the finishing was abysmal.

Do you guys think the Pogba injury could be a blessing? pulls him out the limelight without Jose destroying his confidence dropping him. I think you will play better without him.

final question, are you guys not getting a bit bored with some of the comments Jose is coming out with? End of the game tonight he kept spouting on about enemies everybody is a enemy.

it might just be me but I'm finding it makes me cringe reading some of the stuff he comes out with.

Kloppers

1.) 17 Mar 2017 04:57:59
Kloppers i find it highly amusing that a liverpool fan, especially one using klopp's name as username moaning about mourinho. I doubt you found it cringe worthy when klopp was crying about utd offside goal every chance he got for a month or so after it happened. People in glass houses come to mind.

2.) 17 Mar 2017 06:21:33
Kloppers as I am a non biased individual I have to say I agree with you on all accounts. I hope this will be a blessing in disguise regarding Pogba and if the team perks up a little while he is no in the starting line up it might bring a competitiveness in him that I am yet to see.

In regards to Jose I commented a while back about the bull crap that was coming out of his mouth at times. I disliked it when he was at Chelsea but there was at least some humor then. Now the press conferences are boring and some of the stuff coming out his mouth is why he wasn't my first choice for the post as it is embarrassing.

3.) 17 Mar 2017 07:16:13
Pogba' injury isn't a blessing in disguise, it's a bang obvious good thing.

He's been woeful but undroppable. He was at it again last night; turning back into trouble, taking 8 times as many touches as he needs to, shooting from 40 years.

Hopefully this gives him some time to settle is mind and think about what he's doing wrong.

Currently The Wig brings more to the team and should be starting ahead of PP, and that's something I never dreamed of saying at the start of the season.

4.) 17 Mar 2017 08:27:05
How can his injury be a good thing, combined with Herrera's suspension that means we will have a midfield of Carrick and Fellaini for the next two league games.

Hardly fills me with confidence.

I was always skeptical of Mourinho in the first place because he is known to act like this. I was told he would change for United. Obviously he hasn't. But he is our manager and I will continue to back him, like I said this behaviour is hardly out of the blue.

As for beating teams like Rostov 5 or 6 nil, I think football has moved on. Bayern are currently a far better team than us and they lost to them in Russia and didn't thrash them in Germany. Last night their farthest forward player all night was just the other side of the half way line. There was very little space to work in. Although I agree our attack hasn't been very good this year, if Zlatan doesn't do it no one does. Everything seems like it has to run through him, I don't know if that is under instruction from Jose or because the players are in awe of him.

Our attack looks slow, predictable, one dimensional and inconsistent. Which are all adjectives you could use to describe Zlatan at times this season.

5.) 17 Mar 2017 08:34:57
Pogba has been a bit of a disappointment this season and hopefully a bit of a lay off might make him open his eyes a little. Not his fault the club paid what they did for him but a little humility and bit more hard work might begin to see the fans that are questioning his signature get on side.

6.) 17 Mar 2017 08:40:28
Shappy out of interest who 'told you' that Mourinho would change for United? He will always be the same.

As for beating a team like Rostov 5-0 etc I would argue football hasn't really moved on that much. It all depends on the coaches tactics. Earlier this season Barcelona smashed Celtic what was it 7/ 8-1? And I would argue they are better than Rostov.

It all depends on the managers philosophy and unfortunately for United Jose's philosophy is win small and grind away.

7.) 17 Mar 2017 09:25:59
Maze, many people came on here last season when it became obvious that Mourinho was likely to be our next manager. At that time I stated I wasn't keen on him for three reasons, first was his apparent lack of faith in young players, second for his often negative tactics and third for his often bazaar and disrespectful behaviour.

At that time many people came on here to tell me he would change his tactics and behaviour for our club, that he would embrace our traditions such as youth and attacking philosophy while also be respectful and to not bring the name of the club into disrepute. That he would change for United because it was his dream job. I disagreed at the time and 7 months on it looks like I was right.

The club are still in a far better position than before and I can see the progress and there for I will continue to back him. I've just learned to turn a blind eye to all the stuff which I said was likely to happen as it's hardly anything new.

As for Barcelona thumping Celtic, they are two different teams with a different mentally. Barcelona have arguably the best front three ever, where as we don't even have a settled front line, one which often has young inexperienced players in it. Celtic as a club never go into a game considering themselves as underdog's, they set up to try and beat every team they play, that does leave them more open at the back as a result. Rostov are 7th in their league, which is a poor one. They had the mentality of trying to not get beaten.

Celtic never played with 10/ 11 men behind the ball, Rostov did.

Like I said Bayern lost to Rostov in Russia.

8.) 17 Mar 2017 10:47:48
Put maze in charge. He'd be all sunshine and light as manager. His press conferences would be full of smiles and banter. He wouldn't single out players negatively in public. I'd be waiting in anticipation for his press conferences for his unbiased pro United, all in together stance and be frothing at the mouth Maze to brighten up my day as I knew there would be some revolutionary stuff played over the weekend. They'd be playing out of love for him and we'd all be in the crowd (well maybe me streaming for free online, but still chanting his name) singing Maze give a wave every 5 minutes, just for a sunbeam of hope and potential glory days returning.

9.) 17 Mar 2017 10:56:42
MAZE. As with all people on here, you are heavily biased towards your own opinions.
You are entitled to them. Just don't expect us to agree just because you repeat them so often.
Moaning on here will not change things at club level one iota, but it does get a bit tedious, dare I say boring.
As my English master use to say - it shows a fine command of the English language to say nothing. Having broken his rule, I will stop.

10.) 17 Mar 2017 11:57:32
Supa, lmao think iv just pissed myself.

11.) 17 Mar 2017 12:02:55
Maze as usual you are talking BS, celtic are no where near as tactically good as rostov especially with the ex-liverpool mug managing them, barring losing to bayern 5-0 in their first ever game in cl they have been very competitive in cl, beat bayern 3-2 in return leg, never losing any game other than that 5-0 by more than 1 goal margin. They are 8th in russian league but have the 2nd best defense in the league.

12.) 17 Mar 2017 12:28:46
World class that Supa.

13.) 17 Mar 2017 13:00:35
CSM is this the same Celtic who are undefeated in their league and 30 points clear of their major rivals? Rostov v Celtic tomorrow who would win?

14.) 17 Mar 2017 13:19:07
maze you are going down the wrong track, celtic may be better man for man than rostov, but it is hell lot harder to beat a team that defends with 10 behind the ball than a team that tries and attacks. Celtic vs utd will end up a lot more than 2-1, they are better than rostov and will core more than 1 goal against us but given their defensive setup they will also concede a lot more than 2 that rostov did. Rostov have throughout the season against all opponents shown that they can defend well and they did the same against us, with a lot of help from our own poor attacking play ofcourse.

15.) 17 Mar 2017 13:54:55
Celtic V Bayern who would win? Bayern!

Rostov beat Bayern so none of the above is applicable.

{Ed007's Note - Celtic would comfortably beat Rostov at Celtic Park, we play against teams with 10 men behind the ball every week and there's been a lot of team better than Rostov came to Celtic Park and got a hell of a surprise - Man City this year for example.}

16.) 17 Mar 2017 14:04:36
Celtic ruined the Citeh party! :-)

{Ed007's Note - We broke them that night and should have beat them. :(

17.) 17 Mar 2017 15:01:22
Yes Bond. a lot of people were Celtic fans that night and were disappointed!

Me for one!

{Ed007's Note - (yes)

18.) 17 Mar 2017 19:15:05
Haha supasub cracked me up that 😂.

19.) 17 Mar 2017 22:15:39
Pogba will be back first game after the international break. I don't believe it to be serious or even an injury at all.

Agree with both sides tbh, Southgate is chatting pony he said Trent last year was poor so that’s why he wasn’t selected so that argument goes out the window when he keeps picking maguire, when Gomez had his fracas with sterling he did nothing wrong and was booed? Southgate didn’t come out and back him with this much fire.

Saying that maguire hasn’t done anything wrong for England so what’s the point in booing.

Liverpool fan in peace, just wanted to see what you boys where saying about that game last night, he is a hypocrite. he can`t whinge about protecting his players or all players and then moan when delph does the same style of tackle it wasn't a red but it was an extremely dangerous tackle that could of seriously hurt the Wigan player the one thing I hate is last night the media where defending everything Man city or Pep, oh he is allowed to react like that oh Aguero is in his right to basically punch a fan, oh the City fans are allowed to rip up Wigans stadium because theirs not enough stewards or police absolutely ridiculous.
