Eds,
Nedved has been quoted by tabloids saying that Juve received a bid for Pogba. Could you clarify what club bid for him? Thanks

MUIRE

{Ed002's Note - PSG.}

Ed001,
When you have time, could you tell us how you rate United's four new signings? Input would be greatly appreciated

MUIRE

{Ed001's Note - Depay I have not seen a lot of, what I have seen suggested he has great potential and could be a real threat, but I would like to see more of him to judge him.
Darmian again I have not seen a lot of, but what I have seen made him look a good full back and you desperately needed a right back. So long as he can stay fit, he should be an immediate upgrade to the first team, whereas Depay might take a while to slot in and make a place his.
Schweinsteiger was a special player and even if he is not the player he was, he should still be able to slot in and provide leadership and experience that was badly missed last season. With Carrick's fitness being so unreliable, he will be essential in my opinion. He might not have the legs to get up and down the pitch as much as he used to, but that is not what you needed when you have players like Herrera and now Schneiderlin. I think he is a good signing.
Schneiderlin I think is the best signing of the lot, for me he was Southampton's standout player of the last few years and the one they will regret losing. He is far more than a player who will sit in front of the defence, he is more of a playmaker who will help out covering defensively. I really like Schneiderlin, get the best out of him and he is a difference maker for you next season.}

1.) 16 Jul 2015 14:33:34
Completely agree Ed. Schneiderlin is the smartest signing we've done for years and much like Herrera last year, he isn't a big marquee signing, but will be one of our best.

2.) 16 Jul 2015 14:37:55
Top analysis Ed001, and thanks

3.) 16 Jul 2015 16:28:35
Thanks for then input ed much appreciated

I always thought Schneiderlin became that good at Soton when Wanyama joined him.

{Ed001's Note - I think he was that good and made Wanyama look better.}

@Ed001 if you're around. i'd like to hear your views on depay as a player and his potential. Also I would be interested to read what you think of januzaj and Wilson as players and their future potential .Thanks in advance

MUIRE

{Ed001's Note - from what I have seen of Depay, he offers a lot of pace and direct attacking runs from wide areas, but has supposedly got a few attitude issues. If he knuckles down and works hard, he has the talent to be top class, though I can't see him ever being the Eden Hazard level, for instance. He, in my opinion, will be the step down from that, good enough to be first choice at a top end Prem side, but not good enough to be their best player.

Januzaj needs games, he has the talent, but needs to increase his workrate, both on the pitch and the training ground. For me I believe he made a mistake not committing himself to an international side as soon as he could. That international experience would have been vital to his development and really given him a chance to take his game up to another level. He needs games, if he doesn't get them, I fear his talent will not grow the way it should.

Wilson is similar in regards to needing games, the lad has the ability and lightning pace, what he needs is experience. I really like this lad though, he reminds me of Ian Rush a little, he desperately just needs an arm around his shoulder from the manager and some faith shown in him. Rush took over 3 years to establish himself at Liverpool, I think Wilson will have a similar time frame to really get to grips with the Prem. He will need to learn to do more than just rely on that pace, and that takes time as he never had to at youth level.}

1.) 15 Mar 2015 14:14:52
Cheers ed. In Januzaj and Wilson we no doubt have two of the most promising attackers in the country. Depay would add to this. All three of them will be blocked slightly by 'world class' starters next season, but they are great to have to bring on, great players will be here to learn from and they will take over the reigns in years to come. Who knows, they could be the next Holy Trinity!

{Ed001's Note - for me Wilson and Januzaj should be starters, especially Wilson, as RVP or Falcao need some pace alongside them to create space to operate.}

2.) 15 Mar 2015 14:28:33
Thanks for your input ed. very interesting. One more question. Do you see Hazard as being in the same bracket as Neymar as a possible future Ballon D'Or winner and then see Depay as like a Di Maria or a Sanchez or do you see hazard as the Sanchez tier and then Depay lower again.

{Ed001's Note - Hazard is Sanchez tier, but I do love Sanchez as a player and would never include Di Maria as on the same level as him. Di Maria is one of the most over rated players in the game, he has technical ability but no intelligence at all. Far too much running around to no effect other than looking good to TV cameras. Depay, at the moment, does a lot of ineffectual running as well, he needs the right coaching to move up to the next level. Neymar is a whole other level, at his best he is potentially Messi/Ronaldo level.}

3.) 15 Mar 2015 14:46:43
I'd start Wilson with Rooney for sure, and Januzaj should get far more game time. Will be interesting to see how he and Young do today.

Good win today. few things to be improved on but more positives than negatives. i thing carricks injury may be a blessing in disguise. although he has been great for us, i feel that he slows the ball down to much at times and makes a lot of sideways passes. i felt that without him our tempo was much quicker and our overall performance was better. would like to hear others opinions too.

MUIRE

1.) I like Carrick I think he offers a lot to the team but I can see your point. I don't think Carrick can play alongside Blind or Felliani in the midfield as he needs someone to make a move beside him such as Herrera or Di Maria (on form) to create space in order to pick out the right forward pass.

With Mata and Rooney not exactly very mobile it's difficult for a player like Carrick to not go sideways in an attempt to open up the pitch. For Carrick to be quicker on the ball, he needs the players around him to be quicker off it.

A lot of people on here sayong we need a cb. I agree absolutely but what side would you go for? We all know LVG likes to have right footed in right side etc. I would go for Hummels (right foot). I think Rojo has potential, seems to be i'm proving every game and he has a better injury record than Smalling and Jones. I think Rojo could improve to be a starter at the club with more experience as he is still relatively young for a cb. Opinions?

I think that the first half shoeed how much herrera contributes. His energy, closing down and his eye for a quick pass were missed. He moves defenders and cm's all over the place wirh his movement. Rvp has been terrible.

Timothy Fosu Mensah is a player that has massive potential at CB. He is only 17 but has been promoted to u21s and there is talk of him going on tour with the first team. Andreas Pereira and Wilson are the obvious ones. Also,we have been linked with a player who is apparently the next big thing from south America. He is called Gerson and he is a apparently like Pogba. Any eds know if we are truly in negotiations over a transfer?

Decided to go over to the gooners page as I like to read other pages. Mostly agreed with the comments about them being reasonable, good posters etc. Then I saw a poster saying they should add Subotic to their squad to add to 3 world class centre backs they already have. PRAYERS
