May the Lucas Moura rumours be true does anyone know? About coming in January?

Would not hold my breath over this one.

I'd love it to be the case, he'd give us that pace and directness we need down the right - as evidenced by this game.

3.) 05 Dec 2015 16:03:52
Hopefully we can take his skill and pace and play him left back and train him to pass sideways or backwards. Why would any attack minded player want to play for LVG. He's about as appealing as ISIS.

4.) 05 Dec 2015 18:50:30
Jamie that joke is hilarious. Really.

5.) 05 Dec 2015 21:46:15
Yeah it's such a joke young playing left back, Rooney playing holding midfield blind playing CB, Fellaini as a striker. Such a joke.

{Ed025's Note - and not a very funny one at that!..

Fergie always liked versatile players, and was happy to move players around (Rooney on left wing anyone? ), but at least it (usually) made sense when he did it.

Some of LVG's choices remind me of David James up front for City that one time.

Hi Ed's could you tell me please how much our net spend is so far? As in players sold and players bought, the balance??

Minister

{Ed001's Note - net spend? Really? It is best not to get into it as there are so many extra costs that are impossible to track until the accounts come it, even then a lot of the costs of transfers are hidden. The prices given out in the media are never right, that is even without taking into account that, when a player is sold, you have to pay up his contract, which usually amounts to millions on its own these days. Plus a player, unless they request a transfer, is entitled to 5% of the transfer fee. Then there is the 5% that now goes to clubs who produced them as a youth player. Plus there are signing on fees and agent fees, solicitor fees and sundry other fees. There is no way of giving an accurate amount, even the club's accounts dept would struggle to give you an accurate figure now.}

1.) 13 Aug 2015 07:33:44
So we would have paid up ADM contract to him before he left??

{Ed001's Note - unless some agreement was reached on the amount to be paid, but usually it is the entirety of the contract, yes. For instance, when Joe Cole left Liverpool to join West Ham United, Liverpool agreed to waive a fee to help the move go through and thought that Cole would also be willing to give up the money owing in his contract. In the end he refused to budge and it cost Liverpool £3m to pay up the final year of his contract to get rid of him. This is part of the reason why a longer contract makes a player so much more expensive to sign.}

i really don't understand peoples obsession with what the club spends on a player. it's not my money, i couldn't care less if we over pay, if we need the type of said player pay it and get um in

3.) 13 Aug 2015 10:50:31
Strebor - That's just short-term thinking mate. If we overspend now it hampers what happens in the future, (less money to spend, players overpriced, existing players overvalued by us, overpaid by us, wrong players attracted (ADM)). It may not be our money but how we spend money has bigger ramifications for how much and how we spend money in the future.

Personlly I think the defence held up well considering first time in premiership partnership and good play in patches and a result. That'll do for me.

Interesting read in the irish mirror today by Samuel Luckhurst on Fekir to United. No idea how much is true mind you.

Unfortunately I don't think he's Mourinho's type of player. Too unpredictable and likes to play his own game. I really like him and would love to see him progress at United (which I think he really could) but I don't think Mourinho likes that type of player.
