Do any of the Ed's know if we are still showing interest in Willian? is he still a viable option?
I like the lad. I know most will jump on his negatives. But there are a lot of positives which IMO outweigh them.
I don't know much about Perisic so I can't begin to compare the two and I am not going down the youtube route again. Everyone looks shithot on that, so it's pointless.
By the by. I am not holding my breath for anymore signings. I'm pleased with Lukaku. IMO he will prove a lot wrong. And I have faith in the youngsters stepping up this season.
The one I really wanted at the club is unattainable in this window. Antoine Griezmann. Maybe January or even next summer> This isn't saying I'm against Neymar. I just don't think that is EVER possible.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. I think we could do with both Will. I. Am and Perisic to add width to the team.

Well, I for one am really happy with how "Moo Moo's" first season went and how his signings have gone so far and I am very excited for the new season.
I trust him to build the team he wants and sign the players he knows can do the job he requires. His CV doesn't lie after all, does it? Hasn't done bad with the almost sinking disaster ever fan of ever other club, wanted Us to become? .
Always had faith in every other manager we've had, but this does feel different under Jose's lead. The "team spirit" is back. It's a bit like watching Keanu realising he can kick everyone's arse.

I was hoping someone could help me here. Probably just being dumb but there is a player Ed002 mentioned in the sharkopod, which I just listened through again, as being a favourite of Jose's.

Never seen this guy play, but if you watch the you tube clips you can see why he looks like a potential Carrick replacement long term. Looks like an interceptor, tackler and good distributor, with an eye for a forward pass along the floor that turns the opposition's defense.
I have no idea if he has had 10 good minutes in 1000 hours of game time, and the rest is garbage, but that is the same with all you tube clips. I assume the scouts will check him out thoroughly. Lots to like in the clips though.

He is a good player, he chips in with the odd goal and assist and can also play further forward too. Bit of a come down from Fabinho etc though and I don't know if he is good enough to be a regular starter. Might be better off just using TFM or Tuanzebe instead and save the money.

Agree that the clips look good. But like you say, paraphrasing a bit here, but its no way to judge a player.
Jose obviously see's something in him though. Was just the way Ed002 mentioned him as a favourite in the sharkopod caught my attention. Maybe this is down to an attitude thing? as well as a workable skill set, I don't know? .
Has anyone watched him play (other than youtube) and have an assessment on him? Thanks

I really hoped that when Jose was supposedly in Croatia in Jan, he was there for this guy. I've watched quite a lot of Italian football over the past year and he's always put in a good shift when I've seen him play. His biggest problem would be that he's not really a 'specialist' in anything but a decent all round midfielder imo.

Im still gutted about the AM transfer ban and not getting Griezmann, which I am sure we would have if there was no ban in place.
How come Real and Barcelona got their bans reduced so it didn't affect them at all reall, yet AM get the finger and are basically screwed over?
Back hander bribes? or have I missed something that explains the situation with this. Just seems so fixed to suit the usual dominant clubs and to restrict anyone that has a possibility of challenging them.

I think I read somewhere that Real/ Barca only had a few cases where they broke the rules, whilst Atletico had upwards of 30 or so. Understandable why theirs wasnt overturned if that is the case.

I've only watched a few highlights and yes its difficult to judge preseasons. But there definitely seems to be an air of winning mentality in the team from what i have seen.
I don't know if anyone watch the interview by Rio with Jose (sure its on youtube? ) but he likes a winning mentality, not understanding anyone that doesn't and it is appearing to take a hold which is a breath of fresh air. I mean, if you play for United how can you not have that? and if you don't how can you expect a place in the first team.
I supported Moyes and LVG but looking back its like loving that bitch that always ****s you over, but you go back for more.
Jose is different. He is someone that has so much TRUE belief in himself it is infectious, not just trying to achieve what people expect. I don't think he gives two shits what anyone else thinks. He is his own council and doesn't need sycophants.
I am truly excited for this season. whatever we achieve I know we will fight to the end and I believe Jose has brought the spirit of SAF nearly back to the club.
I am not saying he has no fear (the way he kisses his wrist when he needs help proves that) but he shows no fear and that is a very amicable trait IMO.
What ever else happens in the market I think we will be a formidable force this season, which can only be built upon.
