I reckon who ever takes over from lvg in 2 years will have an amazing young attacking squad and I can't wait. :-) I think we will finish 2nd this season win either the fa or league cup and get to the quarter final in the champions league, which will make a good season. :-)

So much hate going on for lvg, is unbelievable, when was the last season we played free flowing attacking football? Prob when our front 3 was Ronaldo, Rooney and teves even fergies team was boring to watch in his last few years in charge

When have we played it under LVG, he's done well I feel as a collective when defending but going forward has been left wanting, I expect it to improve but will it improve significantly ?

They were without a doubt. So does that mean we aren't entitled to expect our teams to improve, despite vast investment and the ability to use hind-sight? We have replaced one manager who was beginning to be out of touch with the modern game, with another one with less ability, hence even worse performances.
We need a young manager with an attacking mind-set. Klippety Klopp.

To be honest, I am sick of hearing all the negativity, be it regarding the manager or Rooney.
As it stands, we won our last game. We were not great by any stretch of the imagination, but we won. Yet, judging by some of the comments, it seems that some just want to be constantly negative for one reason or the other.
I don't have rose tinted glasses. I am aware of the teams deficiencies; and I hope we can address them. But I for one think we are in a much stronger place compared to this time last year. That is of course my opinion.

tbf sam, i wasn't that disheartened with the result weekend and i was happy with the win.
my biggest problem is the lack of quality in our play IS what i expected, i shouldn't be expecting us to be so tedious and boring with no ideas on how to break a team down, even after the manager has had one full season, 2 training camps and spent a quatre of a billion pounds, the players still don't know how to attack with this slow, possession based style.
Any even mediocre manager should be able to figure out, this ain't working

I think there were signs towards the end of last season that we were getting a but more potency in our attack; and I am hoping with the introduction of another pacey attacking player, we will almost be forced to play with a bit more directness in our attacking play.
I think that Mata - although a top player - does not have the pace to stretch defences; thus he often comes inside or drops off the full back in order to pick up the ball which has the effect of slowing down our play. The left side seems more productive because there is more pace. I just hope we see Depay deployed left sided attack. I think him and Shaw pose a formidable threat down the left side.

Nice to see the top 2 favorites starting the season so well, and we are worried about our side haha I don't see us signing a CB we got rojo who people seem to forget we do however need a forward reckon he will come in on deadline day

Shappy one alright game for evans doesn't suddenly make him a good player, he is someone who always has a mistake in him, and when he make them, which he will, many times, will cost us goals, he always has, that is why so much hate on him, well from me

That post is so full of exaggerated generalisations, I don't know where to start. I'll settle for asking why you would have, 'hate', for any Utd player?
2.) I do worry when he is on the ball or in a one on one situation. He should be a squad player and for me Jones, Rojo and Smalling in that order should be our first choice options.
3.) I personally can't see Evans being a first choice CB when everyone is fit.
4.) I'm not saying he's a great player, but he is a good player. All players make mistakes, if they didn't then there would be no goals in football. Unfortunately if you make one in defence then there is only your keeper to bail you out.
Regardless of how good Evans is or isn't for any fan to "hate" a player who has come through the academy and gives his all for the club is a very sad state of affairs. If your one of those fans then maybe instead of coming on to a forum to bash a player even when he hasn't played badly you should step away from the keyboard walk over to the mirror and have a good hard look at yourself.
5.) Hopefully a back 4 of Rafael Jones Rojo and shaw then hummels next summer
6.) Evans is good at most things, but we need more if we are going to go toe to toe with the big guns. He is a good squad player, nothing more. He has looked very low on confidence recently and he looked very uncertain yesterday when he had the ball, (probably stems from MK Dons error).
Yes he made a good interception and he didn't really get challenged yesterday but when the rest of the team was playing with new vigour and moving the ball about with ease he was the only one who didn't know what to do with the ball and because of his indecision he played a few hospital balls. QPR had nothing upfront so this was concerning. That said he played on the right and has been poor leading up to this game, so hopefully he will snap out of it because with our injury record he will feature a lot. He is better at defending and we didn't have too much of that to do yesterday.
I think a lot of the criticism comes because he hasn't looked right in previous games and only he and RVP looked out of place yesterday on what otherwise was a massive leap for Man Utd kind.
7.) Yeah hate is the wrong word to use, my bad maybe rate is better fit? I don't rate him as a defender for us, would be my last pick out of our lot. is all I am trying to say
