to Ed002

Do you think that MU will rekindle their interest in Felipe ANDERSON in January, or any other players to that point?

thanks in advance

hello

I think half the problem at the moment is perhaps they now want players that truly want to be a Manchester united player, like MEMPHIS AND SWEINSTEIGER, fingers been burnt with ADM. End of the day the team needs the players that will wear that shirt with the pride and passion it deserves and restore the clubs authority that it once had.

Not just have half chance on players that may or may not be money motivated, I mean look at all of the ones he has now, they are all very grounded, some a bit humble, some that have won everything there is to win in the game, and there's the something different in MEMPHIS, its a great bunch of players knitting as a team, not a bunch of individuals.

so I think for maybe a couple of players still to come in that is of that ILK.

Well to be fair Wills, i think every player in europe "really wanna be a manchester united player" if they are getting paid 275k £ a week. Agree?

Hello

I rarely post but I have been reading on this sight for years.

I just thought that I would add my thoughts about what's going on.

1.Firstly assuming its right. WOODWARD wouldn't travel to Spain for nothing, doesn't necessarily mean PEDRO.

2.I think I read on here a post by someone saying we are lining up LAPORTE, I think BFRO posted it, so perhaps that's what we are working on instead of OTAMENDI.

3.LVG has been around long enough not to be deemed stupid enough to talk about a player openly and then suddenly deem him not needed, I actually think he may of been feeding the media who were desperate for information, and using it as a smoke screen for someone else.

4. LVG has banged on about the need for pacey forwards, and is obviously aware of what we already have in the likes of JANUZAJ, WILSON, LINGARD, HERNANDEZ etc. so brings me back to point 3 again.

5. Although BLIND and SMALLING are doing well together, its a long season and LVG will be painfully aware the others are injury prone/not good enough and will bring a new CB in soon.

6. I also think MATA could be a surprise SALE, he slows things down too much wide right, when he comes inside it stifles ROONEYS lacklustre wanton need to drop deep, I think we may well buy an out and out CF with ROONEY behind, depay LW and JANUZAJ/ someone else RW.

I may well get criticized but there's my thoughts

I don't understand why people predict Mata being sold when he manages to start almost every game of ours that too not in his favoured position.

2.) 19 Aug 2015 14:21:51
Very good post mate. Point number three is spot on IMO.

3.) 19 Aug 2015 15:05:53
I mentioned in another post about Mata being sold. If not this window then I could see January as a possibility.

I think he is technically very, very good, but he is competing for the desired NO:10 place which IF we bring in a CF would belong to Rooney, and we know Rooney plays because he is club captain.

Mata has started all the games so far but in a position where he is not natural and that position usually requires speed.

I personally think Mata is a class act, but if he doesn't "fit the system", then sadly he will lose out.

4.) 19 Aug 2015 14:29:20
Laporte and muller would be amazing!!!!

5.) 19 Aug 2015 14:41:41
I have no idea why everyone says sell mata. Yes he isn't a right winger but he's more of a number 10 than fellaini januzaj and memphis! He will more than likely outscore 2 of those 3 also. Also if we did sell mata who would we play on the right? If they are a better option why are they not playing now? i'd rather mata play number 10 januzaj play wide or young. injuries will also hamper us as always over the season. With a better center forward we would be better that's for sure and matas touch hasn't been anywere near as bad as rooneys. Yet his obsession to drop deep hampers us upfront

What about a deadline day exchange with Real: De Gea and Benzema?

Banter please

Hey everyone, i am new to posting but i have been reading for years, i just wanted to add something to the KANE situation

He has only had 1 season and the money quoted does seem alot, and that generally is the case for english players. Plus LEVVY knows he is in a good bargaining position, but sometimes you see a player and think 'he is a manchester united type of player'. I did when Rio FERDINAND moved to Leeds from West Ham, i said to myself he will eventually be a Manchester United player! and look how that turned out.

I see KANE as a Manchester United type of player, he reminds me a bit of RUUD Van Nistelrooy.

I think if we pay 25mil plus what ever in addons if win the league, cups etc. in the long run it will be worth it. Because let's face it and no disrespect to SPURS they ain't going to win the league anytime soon, KANE to united get maybe 10 years plus out of him mould him in the united way and will be great.

I hope this makes sense to people the way i have gone about this:)

For 25 million you will get 1 leg of Kane.

2.) 14 Jun 2015 19:59:48
Thats why i said plus add ons, they prob add another 15mil per international caps, trophies etc.

3.) 14 Jun 2015 22:59:03
He is pretty much the total opposite as a striker to Ruud van nistelrooy. I get what you mean about him seeming like a united player thiugh.

if that's the case, we are left with fellaini, Wilson and rooney. We must be bringing at least 2/3 forwards in. We have cut our squad down big time, and have more fixtures this season, I think we are in for some big surprises

Hopefully greizman or bale, what about maybe MUNAIN? if I spelt that right, and hopefully laporte. I think it will become clear after the 2nd lEG against BRUGGE, will decide how many more games, travelling etc. throughout the season. I also think IBRAHIMOVIC may come too

hello

slight problem is, he is quite lightweight, as bad as it sounds other teams know that if they knock him around a bit he will go missing. Like the Hull game last game of the season, he wasnt as injured as he made out but didn't look like he fancied the game. He is class i admit.

He might be different in the champions league, but 60mil is a lot for someone who turns up occassionaly, we need players that are going to drive the team forward with passion, depay coming in has that passion to improve and win and play
