HI Ed002, if you have a sec.

Do we still hold interest in Nikola Moro.

I know there was talk before he suffered Cruciate injury.

Thanks.

Rosspique

{Ed002's Note - No, there is no interested in Nikola Moro.}

1.) 01 May 2019 23:33:39
Cheers Ed. Have a nice day.

Hi ED.

12 Apr 2019 17:52:13
Hi ed002, if u have a sec. Do we still hold our long term interest in Milenkovic savic or has our interest now switched to Ruben Neves.

Thanks.

Rosspique

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry.}

1.) 12 Apr 2019 18:39:14
Maybe it’s just me that thinks Neves is rather overrated.

2.) 12 Apr 2019 20:53:16
Thanks ed.

3.) 13 Apr 2019 18:46:39
Watching Man U v West Ham. we are shocking, Does anyone else think we offered the job to ole too soon . Been dreadful since he took over . changes the team around too much for my liking.
This is my opinion only
No need to get shirty if u disagree.

4.) 13 Apr 2019 18:55:18
I always thought we should have gone for Poch. But ole did enough to get the job. He needs to be backed. Unfair to judge him now.

5.) 13 Apr 2019 19:22:41
I'm not and have never been a fan of appointing Solskjaer permanently. Not to say I don't like him or that he hadn't done a fantastic job but I think there are better managers out there. We were initially brilliant under Solskjaer but the last 6 weeks or so we have been dire. That includes beating PSG.

It's still probably too early to judge whether it will or won't work as regardless of who the manager is, it is clear we need better players and we need the hierarchy above the manager dealt with. Nevertheless, I'd be more confident of it working with someone like Pochettino, Allegri or Blanc in charge.

6.) 13 Apr 2019 23:57:49
A lot of people agree that our squad is still lacking in a lot of areas and need a bit of a clean out at the end of the season
Ole has done a great job since he has come in and has us challegeing for top 4 again. How bout we give the guy a full season and a couple of transfer windows and see how we are going then. Always too quick to judge a manager, he obviously has said the way he wants to play and he may not have the players to do it
Lets give the guy a proper chance and get behind him.

7.) 13 Apr 2019 22:50:16
It's amazing how so many pple were over the moon before about Oles apptmt and who disagreed strongly with myself and others who said he was the wrong man and now they are changing their minds. I really hope Ole proves me wrong but he has done nothing concrete in terms of football achievement as a manager to be given the reins. Allegri or Poch were my preferred choices but as others have correctly identified and especially Ed 02 the main problem is much more fundamental. Ed Woodward is a great money making man but he is not and has proved that he never will be up to the task of guiding us playing wise. We desperately need a director of football and proper structure in place so that we get the right type of players, playing style and lay foundations for the future success of the club. City have overtaken us and are streets ahead with the way they have built the club in a relatively short time into a world force with wonderful training facilities and young teams coming through too. Just as importantly they have reached out to the local fan base and to attract fans worldwide. Their biggest challenge will be when Pep decides to leave as he will within a year or two. Until then we have to get the basics right. All that being said what is key now is retaining our best players and signing really top notch ones. If we for example lose DE Gea Pogba and Herrera in the summer transfer window what sort of message does that send and how will we attract the best players to us. Being out of the Champions League will make things doubly difficult. I will support Ole and the team just like I supported Jose but fear for the future.

8.) 14 Apr 2019 13:36:26
Oles had a easy start and now we are starting to see what the team and coach is made off! .

The way the team is playimg it is the same as how the team wa splaying under Ole but with a little bit more effort.

I don't think Ole is the right man but we can't b changing coaches like changing boxers.

Our plan for the next 2 years should be to clear out the players we don't need and buy players that are hungry to wear the United shirt.

It is going to be another 2 to 3 year project and if that doesn't work then we are just screwed.

9.) 15 Apr 2019 12:29:40
how long did it take poch to implement his style and work ethic to the players.

people expect instant change. the reality is it takes TIME

while this team has these players regardless of manager we are not going to be title contenders.

some say we need to get out of this ole bubble when in fact its this whole title challenge bubble.

we are no longer a team to compete at the top level currently

untill we change the way the club is run and the recruitment is sorted we will be top 4 at best this is no easy fix.

Just a guess but I reckon Pogba to Barcelona and O Dembele to United is on.
not for a swap but similar to sanchez miki deal.
Think Martial may go to spuds in a similar type deal for Toby in return but I reckon it will actually turn out to be psg where martial ends up.
If the deal with spurs doesn't work out Maguire will be coming which will disappoint me immensely.

Let's wait and see, am I hot or cold eds?

Rosspique

1.) 05 Aug 2018 20:26:09
I’d take Dembele for sure. We’d still need a Pog replacement though.

2.) 05 Aug 2018 20:47:02
If Pogba goes we need sms.

3.) 05 Aug 2018 21:55:35
Will you then change your name PogtheDog?

4.) 05 Aug 2018 22:37:21
Lol 12 dislikes, a lot of Harry maguire fans in the house. As Pogba said, 'football went home'

5.) 05 Aug 2018 22:49:47
Its got nothing to do with Maguire. Why keep banging on about that. How bitter are you.

6.) 05 Aug 2018 22:58:24
When life hands you lemons.

7.) 06 Aug 2018 00:27:49
Make an omlette?

8.) 06 Aug 2018 08:04:21
Lemons get a bad rap. They’re delicious.

9.) 06 Aug 2018 10:18:41
Lemon gelato is the best. Maybe with a scoop of mint choc or hazelnut caramel.

Fyi eds002 on Everton page

{Ed002's Note - Giroud will have talks with who at the weekend? Manchester United are very keen on Lukaku as you know. There is no offer from Chelsea at this time for reasons I have explained. I appreciate everyone is saying the move to Manchester has been agreed but I personally am not so sure everything is quite settled just yet, but I expect it can be. }.

Hi guys, long time reader first time poster kind of thing. Must say thanks to the eds for all the hard work they do in updating the site and providing answers to questions.
Ok felt compelled to post, my aunts husband is a die hard United fan, he's also Dutch and his brother had something to do with psv's academy yonks ago apparently.
Anyways he's a bit crazy which is another story but in the past he's made me look a fool by telling me about deals for Ruud, Ashley Young, de gea and most recently depay weeks before they were done. Before Xmas he told me depay was a certainty and to throw 20 quid on him to move, which I did and made myself 160.
Anyways he's told me yesterday that Felipe Anderson of lazio is a certainty to move this summer, he said there is a defo possibility of us but not a banker. Going on past form, I had to put 20 on it.
I seen this morning then that were linked with both Anderson as de vrij of lazio. It never occurred to me to ask about de vrij to be honest but he never mentioned anything either.
Not telling anyone to put money on it but it is a rumour site and I know how frustrated I am by reading papers so just said I'd throw in my tuppence

These are the reason I visit!

Cheers for posting

2.) 30 Jul 2015 20:26:12
Cheers for posting mate!
Here's hoping you make some good quids. And welcome to the site. Its crazy out here but we all love United.

3.) 30 Jul 2015 21:11:02
Its being reported in the metro that we have made a bid for both, Rosspique. So I would double down if I were you, as this means its guaranteed. ;)

4.) 30 Jul 2015 21:51:10
Funny that i heard about Anderson from a source on Monday .Trip to the bookies i think

5.) 30 Jul 2015 22:06:45
these are the best sort of posts!

unless we are offloading some midfielders, Mata?, I can't see us going for him

6.) 31 Jul 2015 06:27:29
We're offloading ADM, so if Pedro doesn't come, Anderson is a GO, but I doubt it very much.

7.) 31 Jul 2015 11:11:38
I also heard we would buy Anderson, also Pepe could sign today

8.) 31 Jul 2015 11:26:33
I will lose 20 quid but I actually hope that we don't get him. We have plenty of players who can play in an attacking midfield/ inside forward role at the min. depay, mata, januzaj, perierra, young, even Fellaini.
Young showed last year that with a bit of confidence he can do the business. Mata although not the quickest, made the right side his own in the second half of last year, extremely clever player that we need to make room for.
Depay is going to be a beast wherever he plays but for me is an inside forward and hope and believe we will get to see him there most as the season goes on.
Januzaj has the tools,he just needs to step up now, show consistency, determination and grit.
Pereira I am really really excited about and have been for a long time, I wouldn't loan him out, he's not a player to be involved in a relegation struggle, with class players around him this boy is only going to shine brighter.
Fellaini has been and can be a game changer, he is something totally different than what we have and what most clubs are used to dealing with. If our attacking players are struggling to unlock a 10 man defence, throw on Fellaini off the striker, bombard him with crosses, have no shame in it, we all want to play sexy football but it's all about results and goals

9.) 31 Jul 2015 12:44:59
everyone seems to have a source but me :(

27 Apr 2019 10:38:53
Letting hererra go is a joke. He's 29 so is literally at his peak. Look how much losing hererra over the last couple of months has cost us.
Meulenstein comes out this morning and says how ander compliments pogba and he's not wrong. Coincidence that both the clubs and pogbas form have dropped since Hererra has been out.
Lots of people say hererra ain't good enough for a title winning team, that is bull. And in any case he would make a triffic rotational player.
A
Hererra gets united and speaks about the club with passion, I'm sure if treated well he would not go.
What is going on at this club. How are smalling and Jones getting contracts.

Rosspique

1.) 27 Apr 2019 10:52:43
Agree totally on Herrera, I had just posted something similar.
He is the only one in our team with any leadership qualities. That and his energy and quality on the ball (not often he gives it away) have been badly missed.
I hope he stays, but that said if he is after ridiculous wages like is being reported then can see why they don't want to give him a new contract. Allthough in all fairness can see why he thinks Sanchez shouldn't be on more money.

I would offer him more money (maybe not as much as he's asked for), 3 or 4 year contract and give him the captaincy. He's the best option we have at the moment for captain.
That would make him stay I'm sure, he shows passion for the club and always 100% effort, not many others you can say that about at the moment.

2.) 27 Apr 2019 14:41:53
I am sad that Herrera is going, but I hope, that the club didn't fight to keep him, because they are confident of signing a replacement.

3.) 27 Apr 2019 19:30:16
It will be sad if Herrera leaves. If he does go, we may hear a different version of the story about why. The only midfielder we have who makes others around him better.

{Ed002's Note - He is leaving as has been explained because MU did not offer a good enough deal in a timely manner - there is no other story.}

4.) 27 Apr 2019 22:32:43
Don't like to say but he never carried the team, if the powers that be aren't timely with a good enough deal then i don't blame them. (for once) . he is Everton, West Ham standard. not for a second will he carry us through a tough game. he may shout and order but I'd prefer a younger player with potential than a 29/ 30 year old looking for a payday.

5.) 28 Apr 2019 09:18:18
Great attitude but doesn’t have the talent to match. Certainty not good enough to start for PSG either unless they have some departures on the cards from their starting 11.

03 Mar 2019 17:30:46
A question for ed002 if you're around. Would the United dof job interest allegri and would he be suitable to that role.
Thanks.

Rosspique

{Ed002's Note - No, he is a coach not a Director of Football.}

1.) 03 Mar 2019 19:37:51
Question for 002, please. What is the informed view about Ole's managerial prospects? Is the current run if success a reasonable predictor of his abilities, or an adreneline high? Can he develop a sustainable career at this level?

{Ed002's Note - Deliberately he arrived when there was an easy run. He will likely get the support that was not given to the previous manager. I am not convinced he will be the one the club needs.}

2.) 04 Mar 2019 00:33:17
I tend to agree with you. This looks like a "dead cat bounce" that has a long trajectory. If it turns out to be Schrödinger's cat they had better not open the box. But the crowd is now in control and one can only wish him well.

3.) 04 Mar 2019 07:17:48
16 games with 1 loss and 2 draws is a bounce, sorry but you’re having a laugh mate.

4.) 04 Mar 2019 09:02:55
Under Jose this season there seemed to be no easy run of games we couldn't win three straight games no matter the opposition, some already have what it takes to be good managers why some need experience to become one I think Ole has wat it takes we won at spurs Chelsea and at Arsenal if he had lost any of those matches I would still back him because when utd lost it hurts him as a coach and as a manutd fan that's the kind of man I need to lead the club I think Jose made me understand there is a difference btw a coach and a manager Jose is one of the best coaches in the world but not a good manager u can be good coach and not a good manager and u can be a good manager and not a good coach Moyes was a fine manager but never a good coach lvg good coach Jose best coach in the world PEP best manager in the world now in the Era we are in it is very important that u are a good manager we think wat ole has done is so easy but it's not he has managed the club better and has shown signs he can be a good coach with proper backing and Dof we could be in for a great ride.

31 Jan 2019 14:44:12
Mistake letting Fellaini go without a replacement. Pereira not cut out, either is mctominay. Fred the only option?

Rosspique

1.) 31 Jan 2019 15:45:09
Maybe Ole has plans to involve more youth players? He has mentioned James Garner before as a youngster with potential.
Or maybe he has seen something in Gribbin, Sang, Willock (St Mirren) Buffonge, Whelan, Barlow or Hamilton?
We will see.

2.) 31 Jan 2019 15:51:53
Short term it may be a slight mistake if we have an injury crisis in midfield.

But in the long term it is hopefully the start of a much needed trimming down of the squad. Having 30 odd first team players on the books is not sustainable. With wages and transfer fees escalating for some average players let alone top players most top clubs will need to be much more efficient in squad management.

It was going to be tough to offload the likes of rojo, darmian and fellaini as most european clubs are wise enough to avoid them.

Thank god that shandong lungeng were able to do a deal for both fellaini and the club.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 16:56:19
As people have mentioned in the long term it is in the club's best interest. Sell a player who is over 30, is on high wages, and isn't in the first team plans. That sounds like the best thing to do.

I disagree that it is short sighted or that the club will have a problem if we have an injury crisis.

For me Fellaini hasn't been a bad player, he works hard and is effective within certain boundaries. However, if Ole wants to maintain the style of play he has implemented so far then I don't see how Fellaini fits in. If we have in injury to Pogba, Matic or Herrera can Fellaini replace them and the team still play the same way? I would say no, not without a significant drop off in performance. In that situation you would have to adapt the side to fit Fellaini in, we have seen how that effects performances and results under Mourinho. It would make more sense to play a youth player with a similar skill set to the player they are replacing in the line up this allowing the other 10 players to keep playing in the same way and causing as little disruption as possible. Rather than make the 10 players change their game and the team tactics to fit Fellaini in or ask Fellaini to play in a way he just can't.

4.) 31 Jan 2019 17:07:50
He should never have been signed in the first place!

{Ed025's Note - im with you kurtis, just not a united type player for me mate..

5.) 31 Jan 2019 17:23:38
Fully agree Shappy.

6.) 31 Jan 2019 19:06:48
Signing Fellaini reminded me of when Liverpool signed David Speedie, it was just wrong. Nice bloke, was a beast for Everton, it never really fitted for us. As Stevie sas, he scored some important goals for us and always gave 100% but it was never a sensible signing. Good luck to the big man.

7.) 01 Feb 2019 09:13:09
One bad game and pereira is useless, much like lindelof a few months ago, I can see how things become toxic quickly. Give the lad a chance, he stuck up to José last year and got some game time in Spain, I think once the nerves settle he’ll be a good option to have, Ole obviously saw something in him.

8.) 01 Feb 2019 10:44:49
Not to mention he's trying to learn a new position.

He is very quick witted and funny at times but he really does himself no favours at other times. While we are winning games like that and playing the football we are at the moment he can do what he wants though.

2.) 08 Nov 2018 08:40:57
I don't like him, but if you won't pursue allegations of financial fraud on pl but want to appeal against something some said after you lost the case, you deserve to be mocked and ridiculed.

Rice also a contender.
